On the contrary, both will be running simultaneously, but SEWCS is over a few weeks and overall is part of a year-long arc.

Don't know if that's a jab at anyone on here not having a real job but I'm pretty sure a job is a job is a job if you can do it well and get paid for it.

Could you make a list on the thread with all sign ups up to date please? Just makes it a lot more clear given this thread is both information/sign-ups.

Edit: Since everyone knows about this, we would be expecting quite a large amount of sign-ups. You can't really predict if people aren't going to show... so if we have 30+ people there on the day the pools are going to take much much longer than the allotted time, and for all non-US people that means the whole thing is going to drag on through the night/morning (which could in theory provide lesser quality games).

I don't want to be rude or anything but Im just worried about it running over.

I think if pools are made on the day you can weed out that huge number of no shows instantly without having to worry about them.

The real deal doesn't begin till the bracket is generated, you could generally assume who would be advancing in the pools given it goes well.

Yes, this will be happening. Also because of seeding.

Yeah, pools will remove the possibility of any great upset, provided the pool leaders will be first seed.
