Okay, some of my friends and I got into a bit of a discussion on who would win in a head-to-head: The Avengers, or The Justice League.
Also, as part of your consideration, it is important to note that Spiderman (due to production studio rights buy-outs) is going to be an Avenger.
The choice of "Avengers (w/Spiderman) is if you think the Avengers would ONLY be able to win if they had Spiderman on their team. If you think they could win on their own, pick Avengers (original).
I'd love to see your reasons for this as well.

You mind clarifying who the members of each roster are? Because there are a TON of JLA and Avenger members over the years.

Justice League has Superman and Batman

Yeah and the Avengers have She-Hulk and Vision, what's your point?
Also, it is very important to get one thing out of the way THE HULK IS NOT A MEMBER OF THE AVENGERS. He was there for the first issue, left in the 2nd issue, and has since been an uncontrollable wildcard to the team. Likewise, CAPTAIN AMERICA IS NOT ONE OF THE FOUNDERS. He joined waaaaay later but was one of the first joiners.
So, by that poll, shadowolf means that the Original Avengers do not have Hulk and Cap

For explanation, I am referring to major members (though not the super-obscure minor ones...) of each, not just the ones featured in movies. I am not (due to the ignorance of the general populace) excluding the popular movie members of the Avengers, however, Hewitt. They are (more or less, albeit) members of the Avengers.
Hope this clarifies things.:D

The Justice League.
But how would spiderman change anything though,
or was that a choice just cause spiderman is going to
be in the avengers in Marvel's cinematic movies?

I'm not as well-versed in the avengers, but it all depends on if they actually have someone who could beat both Supes and WW.

I'm pretty sure hulk could take on superman.

So we talking about the old Justice League, or the new one with the kid heroes like Nightwing and stuff.

It all boils down to Superman and Friends vs The Hulk and Friends.
Hey Jeff, I understand that Hulk is a pretty strong guy, but he can't breathe in space.

Not exactly, Martian Manhunter is pretty much equal to
superman in when it comes to power. Actually Martian
may even be more powerful than Superman.
And also Thor is pretty much a god
and could beat hulk with one hand tied behind his back,
I think he'd be more of a match for supe.

Hulk has fucked Thor up before
But he's definitely not a match for superman, like at all.
I don't think there's anyone onthe avengers roster that could beat him. But like, maybe scarlet witch could like make the Justice League not exist, thats definitely something that's within the scope of her abilities

Yep
And let's not forget superman's new 52 power, he's able to basically explode and still be alive

Thor has beaten hulk as well.
And with The Odin Force Thor can pretty much do
anything. I don't understand how people
think hulk is a match for superman.
Anyways just the main three justice league members
(Superman,Batman and WW) Could beat the
Avengers alone.

Well, Don't forget about Iron Man. Tony Stark is an inventor, and has some pretty awesome tricks up his sleeve. He could easily take down Batman, I think. Also, if you bring Black Widow into the picture with her connections in SHIELD, I'm sure they could rustle up some Kryptonite to take care of the man in blue ballet tights....
