Sweet. So, what's your face char on there? Mine is Lloyd, mainly because he has such a variety of combos, can do a 5 move stack, and can be a total troll when facing a serious OP player.

lol Goku is just insane. The thing I don't like about him is that most of his attacks are easy to interrupt by well planned counters -- in 4 way battles, he can easily get lost in the skirmish if he is put against really fast chars like Fox and Metaknight.

I play SSF2 as well! What a coincidence!
My favorite character is probably Naruto, his attacks aren't the strongest, but they're hard to interrupt and still do a decent amount of damage. And his Final Smash is awesome! :D

@Ig

Oh gods...I hate Naruto. In the hands of a good player, he is so damn hard...mainly because he has such a variety of attacks, and he can do ridiculous $#!+ with them all of the place. In fact, he is the reason I discovered Lloyd -- Lloyd was the only char who would interrupt/block his attacks easily...then again, Lloyd can do that to everyone.

@Person

Yoshi can be quite useful, I must agree...but for some reason I have never liked him. Mario, on the other hand, can be awesome if used well. He also has pretty good recovery, I've noticed.

You're talking about Super Smash Flash right? I doubt that they came as bonus characters in the new game.
Completely off topic, my favorite character is Cloud. And before you ask, I don't play much FF. I discovered him in Kingdom Hearts, and thought that he was the coolest character ever. But that's just my opinion.

Cloud? He ain't in SSF2! He's in SSB4! I'm guessing that's what you meant, so yeah. I happen to have Cloud, and right now he's my main on SSB4, he's pretty fast, really strong, and pretty hard to interrupt/block.

For Yoshi, all you need to do is stand near a ledge, and keep on eating people. They'll fall right off. It's harder to get out of the egg in SSF2 than SSBB or Melee.

True, true...which is why I hate it when other people use him. :p That stomping maneuver he does is also pretty good.

That's the same thing I do with Lloyd. Stand on an edge, and use the Double Demon Blade (the one that makes that ghost head). It blocks everything and deals 21% damage with each hit. No one can get you, and if they try to recover, I just do it again.

Spammers, where is your sense of variety? Don't get me wrong, those are effective strategies, but for me, a person who feels like a badass after dealing a combo that got my opponent up over 80%! AWESOME!

I mean, my Mii Brawler in SSB4 is probably the most OVERPOWERED character I can pick, he's just so attuned to my strategy, (which is getting in people's faces) that I just repeat this technique:
1)Grab 2)Throw Down 3)Jump Up, hit with front air attack 4)Double jump, use down air attack 5)Drop to ground, use any special

By the end of that combo, they're usually at 50% or above. :rolleyes:

*Cracks knuckles* Did you just insinuate that I am a spammer in SSF2? *Grins Fiendishly* 80% with one combo....how....cute....

I only go "spammer" when people have deliberately set up an uneven battle (I.e. created a set-up where they can use the smashball every 2 minutes to go super ability).

Combo? Okay, time to talk about the Lloyd awesome combo.

Earth Smash twice, bouncing them from anywhere on the stage lvl to me, also preventing them from attacking. (15%)

When they are falling down from the second smash over me, I do an upwards spike. (32%)

I then to an up-jump maneuver. (47%)

I then do a downward-forward swing matched with another upwards jump, keeping them in front of me. (65%)

I then do a downward spiral, dragging them halfway down to the ground. (89%)

I then do an angle-down dive, driving them in front of me to the ground. (101%)

I then to a fast "fury" attack on them close, ending with knocking them backwards. (115%)

I THEN do a "sonic thrust" launching them off the edge of the stage. (133%)

As they are about to fall out of the midair, before they can recover I shoot waves from my "spiral blades" at them, driving them backwards and downwards further. (139%)

If they attempt to recover, I do one last "double Demon blades" block-attack, hurling them straight down to death. (161%)

*chuckles cruelly* 80% indeed....

;)
