Edit your thread instead of making a new one.

Points carry out through characters if you make a new one.

And if you're making a new character ask for your current one to be binned and then you should make the new character thread

Let's take this slow...

You want to delete your other thread and remake it (with the same character) just with a different format. Okay. Fair enough.

First of all, on the original post, there should be a button at the bottom right OF THE POST that says "Edit Post". Once you press this button, it will take you to a page where you can change your post however you want just as if you are making a new post.

Do this instead of binning the original because it takes less effort.

Second, you are questioning if you were to make a ENTIRELY NEW thread, would the points you have accumulated stay the same.
The answer is simply, yes.

Just for future reference I will elaborate on how the points system works. You create character, you fight with others, you gain points based on whether you win or lose, shown with the numbers 0/0/0 on this persons thread. In your case, you are 1/0/0. These points stick with you FOR AS LONG AS YOU ARE ALIVE.

If you create a new post, the points STAY THE SAME. Even you create A WHOLE NEW CHARACTER, the points stay the same.

Therefore, I will give you an example just so you REALLY understand how this works.

You've created Ernest, he won a match. Your points are now 1/0/0.
You recreate Ernest's thread, your points are still 1/0/0.
Ernest win's a few matches and loses a couple. His points are now 4/2/0.
Now let's say you make a completely new character. New moves, new powers, new EVERYTHING. There is one thing that does not change. Can you guess what it is? That's right! Your points.
This character, despite having new everything, still has a score of 4/2/0.

TL;DR Points are tied to THE ANIMATOR and NOT the character

Thank you for listening to Stickpage Forums 101, have a nice day! :D

How obnoxious

Was all the dramatic exposition really necessary? A simple answer would've sufficed

Yes, I know. It's just he didn't seem to quite understand even after others had given simple explanations. I've found that longer explanations conveys the message better to the person questioning. I just really need to make sure he knows what he's doing so he never has to ask wonder again
