I don't even want to argue with you, because honestly there's no point and no matter what I say it won't be enough for you. Although I do want to point out I've made plenty of small games before:

It's weird to me that you're even saying all that anyway, the only time I ever started something without finishing it was RHGG (and let's be honest, that had no hope of being finished.) And are you going to tell me YOU've never abandoned a project that had no hope of being finished? I was young and creative. I still am. Programming is my creative outlet. Apparently yours is making other people feel bad and yelling at them.

The main issue with this is that this place isn't known for it's record of getting shit done. You're also just presenting everyone a big blank slate for everyone to doodle on and you're expecting something good will come out of it. Plus game designing comes from knowing what to do, not just dragging a bunch of people into a room and just hoping something brilliant will just emerge.

I remember this time in school where we had to make this short safety videos on why you shouldn't text and drive and stuff like that. My team didn't let me do anything, so I told them in the credits that I could be the emotional supporter.

You're my new favorite person.

And ???, I mean it'd be a cool idea if every stage or level of the game had a different design or style to it. But like said before, you are kind of asking people on the internet (mostly highschool and younger, and anyone older has work and a real life) to be responsible in helping you with this. I have started quite a few collabs and animation group attempts way back in the day, and people lose interest because most people here are teens with short attention spans. And anyone else who is reliable is usually working on a project they actually want to finish.

The idea is a little too broad, but if you narrowed it down it does sound kinda cool.

The thing is, everyone is misunderstanding this whole thread. I said it'd be cool to attempt it, but I myself would not actually would like to make it. It was just a fun idea I had I thought would be fun to discuss.

But yes, I understand what you're saying.

Correction, somebody would like to be in charge. Some people would actually be up for the hard work and be passionate about the project enough to see it through to fruition.
