In your opinion, what is the best strategy in which Albowtrosses play a major role? I love the flying crossbowmen, but I can't really find one that strikes my fancy. My favorite so far has been albowtross + giant, but that is usually very easily countered by just targeting the fliers followed by the giants.

For now archers the way to go early and pretty much late game. You could try substituting archers for albows late game.

Albow out by 3 minutes. Spear/Albow/Meric, stop albows at 5~ and cut into giants and late game tech.

As I've always said, you can play funner builds/less efficient and win anyone out of Top 10.

basically albow is a much better choice than archer if you are fighting someone who are laggy (unless you are playing slipnot)

I used albows against players like Killerallah and it works very well, completely eliminated the probability of spear turtle.

But of course, archers are still dominant in top gameplay (which is quite sad)

Not really. Albows would be a good idea if they didn't cost so much more than archidons.
