I gotta ask, how do you manage to keep from smudging?
I don't really haha, but I got a few tricks.
Use two fingers to hold and rotate the page with your free hand instead of the whole hand, and try to keep those fingers off essential areas.
Smudging is almost inevitable, so once it starts to get out of control i just use a thin eraser to reestablish the lighter areas and white spots.
i likeyour style man and nice sketches. I can feel the intensity of control coming from the character in the first picture. The second picture looks like its counter-part; a more indifferent and aloof character.
