I remake the poll to ask a better question, since everyone mistake what Im asking.

There are 2 main system as I know:
(1) Short normal combo into a special move, pure 2D platform, jump is important, timing is critical.
(Street fighter, Samuraishodown, King of fighter, Last blade, Mortal kombat and many 2D coin console games ect)

(2) Throw very long normal combo, work on 3D platfrom, can freely dodge right or left, make the fights more realistic
(Tekken, Samuraishodown Sen, Last bronx, Bloody roar, God hand and many Sega fighting games ect)

My main question is not comparing the animation or graphic or character design. Its about the fighting system.
Tell your favorite game's name and tell why its system is better than others.
------
When I create a Flash game, I find it more interesting to do the 2nd system, but I actually I prefer playing 1st system from real games.
I make the poll public so I can see your animation style to your favorite system, to see if it has any similar

I'm used to seeing short normal combos, so the 1st one.

I think you had better to learn more combos, your RHG vid with Dracko still has some problems

Have u recognize Karate & Silat moves in there?
Or u think random punches kicks are better?
(mistake of double post)

I think we may have a serious communication problem.

To answer your question, the average casual viewer might not notice any particular fighting style unless they're super distinct. However, it's still noticeable that the fighters are under a "style" in the first place compared to random moves that might not make sense to the character. I have noticed that ShadowRose doesn't use knees and elbow strikes, and his poses are "clean"; But that's just me.

As for the poll itself, both are good in their own ways. I think fighting systems depend on the animator's own style. For example, you are already settled on you Street Fighter-esque style.

Oh, in that case Option 1 would suffice. Option 2 only works if you have some form of 3D movement which, assuming you're going to make this in flash, would be very difficult with your current resources.

Only silat style from Dracko's vid is cool
And yet, you probably do not make the vid so long, just short á Dracko ones

Option 1 in my opinion. I like using short combo moves than finish the person off with a stylized finisher move :D
