I don't know if you guys are aware, but 2 days from now, the date Marty goes to in the "Future" in Back to the Future 2 will be that exact date. October 21, 2015 4:30 PM.

Here's some clips from that future:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d68yRIE9OvQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkyLnWm1iCs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ztwns5PkJY

Other techs not in the clips above:
- Self-Drying Jacket
- Automatic Form Fitting Shoes with customized pumps
- Cars now use Recyclables as fuel instead of fossil fuel

If you haven't seen this movie, wtf go watch it right now. It's a classic and the movie's great.

So here's the question: If you had a choice to warp the entire world to fit one universe, which "2015" would you accept.

Pro's are obvious: FLYING CARS. Hoverboards. "Realistic" 3D holographic technology, Instant-Pizza (amongst other things), Instant fruit garden, phones implanted in your everyday clothes, Robot servants that obey all 3 laws, and all the modern conveniences you could ever hope for. Also, it appears that things look WAY better, in some sort of utopian pre-Bioshock environment.

The Cons? Well. First, it's still the 80s apparently so you're gonna have to wear that funky shit you see in those clips. Second....no Internet. XD Well, at least, the kind of Internet we've come to know. There's obviously some kind of Information Superhighway goin on in that future, but it feels like Web 1.0 meaning, no Social Networks, no Youtube, no Google. And everything is a static webpage.

So, which future is still the best?

BttF. I'll use my knowledge to create the internet we know today and become a goddamn billionaire. Then I'd buy all that fancy shit.

Ours is better. I'm too accustomed to my life to change it.

It's really choosing a technological revolution vs an information one, and to me the information innovation is far more useful than the mostly commercially increased tech seen in BttF. Not to mention the obvious adjustment to my life I'd have to make going into the BttF universe.

Present 2015.

Adding on to Root's input, the internet is just too good to let go. I'm pretty sure we can make those things in the future or the far future. That and StickPage forums will not exist and I won't meet the wonderful people I've met here. and change my childish attitude.

Wonderful people? I'm sorry I think you're mistaken for another site.

I'd stay in the present. Nothing really interests me in the Back to The future 2015. Like cool, Hover Board... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSheVhmcYLA and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwSwZ2Y0Ops (Lexus Board, can actually go over water :P) And why do I need a phone inplanted into my clothes. Like I don't have the internet and sht so I won't be able to play games and tbh it's more practical to hold a small object in your many pockets that can run many things than a no where to be seen phone that probably is going to listen in on you, Flying cars are going to be super expensive and you're going to go through a driving test 10x harder than a normal car plus a lot of people are scared of heights and they can crash into multiple building.

Plus the cons are huge. Without the internet I would never have become a animator (since youtube literally inspired me to make animations after watching a few RHG animations and me spending like 3 months trying to find stickpage forums.) Everything would also be different, Our families would be different, our friends would be different, How we act would be different.

Oh and the clothes is pretty bad...

BttF. I think I'll be fine without the internet and I'm pretty sure that I'm not forced to wear funky clothes anyway(no matter what's popular there will always be other clothes to pick from) and those fuckin hoverboards man, I want one. A real hoverboard would most likely be very hard to control but Marty, with no prior training, manages to master the hoverboard very quickly which would imply that it's very simple to use.

Also, not having any fossil fuel would be pretty damn awesome and make me worry a little bit less.

Idk, I interpreted it as him just making a joke about some of the shit that goes on here, including himself.

I don't see him interacting with the members here much so I'm assuming he wasn't joking.

Ours since we already have pretty much all of that technology already and more it's just a matter of time before it's mass produced for consumers plus some of it already is.

some inventions in bttf did exist but the bad news is, it's not used in public yet :(

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwSwZ2Y0Ops hoverbaord
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qyxyy10YoNM hologram (not completely 3d)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Yn2uyQJ1jc flying car
don't know if there's a robot with artificial intelligence... But https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsVUySikcVw ( I just don't trust that this is true, maybe it was controlled by a mic and a controller)
I don't think there is a phone implanted on clothes yet
