Arguing in the Internet vs Arguing in Real Life

I like real life personally, because then I can have an intelligent conversation with someone. I always find retarded people on the internet whenever I get into an argument anywhere. Because there's no consequence to them spouting bullcrap, is there? It's anonymous. Plus it's harder to cool down on the net.

Look at this thread, this is an example of an argument on the internet gone wrong; and that's just on Stickpage. You should see the arguments in youtube comments, those ones really bring me down.

I don't know...I rarely have intelligent arguments in real life =_=
Maybe that's just because I'm in high school, but I seem to have much more intelligent disagreements over the net than anywhere else(and over much more mature topics than my mother's whereabouts the previous evening...*Sigh*).

I vote real life because me arguing in real life, while it may increase my chances of being smacked around, I think it makes more of a difference arguing with someone in real live versus arguing on the internet, where a simple block can shut you up, and you can easily be in the minority and much more people can talk over you, than in real life where that can't happen. To me arguing with someone on the internet doesn't seem like it's worth it when it can just be deleted and such. In real life you can continue no matter what imo.

Quote from SharpIs this really a question? Real life, no doubt. That way the argument actually holds a tiny bit of intelligence.
It is an interesting question actually. Mustika's summarized pros and cons tells us both IRL and internet arguments are almost equally preferable.
I prefer IRL arguments, as long as it isn't with people who speak through their fists and have shit for their brains.
If the opposing person starts acting like an illogical douchebag, that's when I stop speaking entirely - both IRL and on the internet.
Good poll btw.

Real life
If I think about how many times I was wrong, I can divide them in 2 groups:
-when I admitted my mistakes and actually learned something
-when I kept pissing off people even though I was deadly wrong or deadly stupid
For the first group, most of arguments I had while being face-to-face with the person discussing
For the second, every single argument I had on Stickpage and on the Dojo (luckily, not on Youtube at least)
