@Zero's animation, acknowledge your style and loved the animation.
I think the 'getting up-walking-stopping to kick' part could use some in-betweens? Also, the brick doesn't break? I disappoint.
Cool crack effect~

Quote from Etch
Shit was dope aside from the leg looking a little awkward moments before the kick itself. Maybe a little more frames of the leg coming slightly off the ground instead of already halfway off the ground already. Just seems a little awkward for a kick that looked like a roundhouse?

I agree. I thought that it wouldn't be noticeable because I pentaframed it.

Ah, yeah, it's a roundhouse kick. Thank you guys.

Tehee, thank you so much you guys~. All your inputs mean a lot to me.
Maybe the smoke really is not that good. I'd try to improve it if needed (and also watch and understand more tuts related to that).
@Zero: Oo thanks a lot dude. Yes that was purely intentional since I'd like people to know that the guy was facing away from the screen, especially I'm using that outlined head style instead of plain color like most of sticks.
@S.A.: I tend to do that kind of smoke animating at times (like this one but this is also kinda old in my defense) but I just wanted to try different ones here, especially it came from a breaking brick. Do you feel the lag at the end of the anim where the guy finished the kick? Because I feel there might be some "laggy" feeling you also experienced there. Just me experimenting.

I'll try to CnC in the mean time.

I think this is better than your previous challenges, but I feel like the figure needs to step more backwards at the first hit, then more forward at the next one. You made him seemingly super strong with such lack of reaction towards those lethal ball hits. I noticed you moved his hands too, but imo don't make it go back to his initial position (at the side of his hips) that fast - same goes to his whole head/torso movement. May need more easing for that.

So I'm going to hop in and I made challenge 5. I might make those previous challenges too if I got time.

Challenge 5. Hits. Tried to take a different spin on it. Animated fullbody for the first time. Animated at 30 FPS entirely with trackpad, so get off my dick if the drawing is lackluster or I skipped out on a few keyframes. Did some experimentation with this. Lots of flaws that you can clearly see, but I like the way it turned out.

Is there a reason he had to be black?

Yes.

Yes.

1.) Stay away from fullbodies. It's either your trackpad or you lack the basic knowledge in forming the whole human body. Either way, both are sufficient reason to stay away from fullbody for now.

2.) Resize. So. Much. Resize. He gets shorter the more he walks back.

3.) He looked like he knew he was going to get shot at a specific time, at a specific place. He actually reacted to the hit before actually getting hit.

4.) What's with the stickfigure? I don't get why it has to be there other than being a guide.

Personal Note: Trackpad is a bitch to animate in but it's not an excuse to why an animation is bad. I know you don't have much at the moment but try not to animate fullbody. Regardless, you more or less got the concepts down and the problem is more of the form rather than the movements. Keep it up and don't get discouraged by my criticisms!

Also, I hope you went through the front page again.
Incomplete animation- not accepted in this thread. If you could complete that animation and post again, I'd appreciate it.
(you guys think it's time to have a separate thread for fullbody animations, whether complete or not? If yes, I hope one of you could create it. Have fever right now, don't feel like Cnc-ing or monitor another thread)

1.) I only saw 3-4 frames of animation done in this. This is what we call "lazy". If I removed the flashy effects, you know what we'd be left with? Camera zoom, copy paste, blurs, and tweens.

2.) You're suffering from a common illness most new animators have which I'd call "The-Intro-Was-Longer-Than-The-Animation". Symptoms include unnecessary build-up and tons of camera panning for no good reason.

Personal Note: Eh, it wasn't bad really. It just lacked content. I mean, you got the goal which is getting hit so I think there isn't a problem but, you know, you could have done much more.

True that^

What you did with the zoomed-in-sliding was actually well done, and I also felt the sound effect going hand in hand with the animation. Guz makes neat sound packs eh. Haha I hoped to hear a bit more of that music man

But see Mark, the challenge was to 'get hit' so you could've done a bit more on what happens after he flies away. Maybe slide-pitch and finally come to a stop some way. Guess its partly my fault for not being elaborate.

I do appreciate creative laziness though P:

and Hewitt you bad boi what you meanz? D:<

Also, I've made a slight change in first post (in blue).

it wasn't music, it was a fun trend, (search YouTube john cena vines)
i was thinking of that as well, but i thought

Though it must be simple and not too time consuming. Maybe a day could be enough.
Don't need to do full-fledged Terkoiz VS Hyun animation
and this did take me a day, i did it right after exturnus did, thought it was a pretty cool way to unrust since we're just unrusting, but i didn't need to unrust the stick, i mostly needed to unrust other efx n sfx, so i did the hit, and i made it hurt, hence the "OUCH" on the thread name, and after watching the firsts unrust challenges, i thought much wasn't needed to be done there.

personal note: i dont think you need to elaborate, this is a good thing you got here where ppl can come and unrust, and everyone has their own way of unrusting, and i'm sure they can all apply to the topic you've set, but unrusts are usually short, afterall, we're just unrusting, right? :)
thanks tho, i think these challenges are really good for us
