Hello. Just wondering if you all could give me a few tips about how to go around the forums here. Was a bit spooked by all the "you get in big trouble for doing this, this, and this... etc." If any of you could explain what to do/not do here as well... that would be awesome. Also, I really want to get started on an RHG, but I don't have a good idea of what free animation software to use for stick fight animation. Last bit, I am very confused on what exactly I need to do on RHG character creation. I have read through the guide and have a good grasp on the requirements, but I feel like there is something I'm missing. If someone could give me a short description of what I need to know basics-wise on RHGs, and also answer a few of my questions as they pop up... that would be great.

Damn straight there's something missing; you're damn foot in the door. There is no harder barrier than yourself. And if you make a mistake, that's what Drone and Shadowkirby are for. If they ever give you trouble, just PM me and I'll send them a fruit basket. So just get in there and make an RHG, they won't bite.

RHGs traditionally use Flash which you will have to purchase. It has a 30-day trial period yadda yadda yadda. Tutorials are everywhere, even outside in youtube by people who aren't from here.

Then. Once you've decided whether or not you're a man at Flash, you can opt to buy in or devolve into Pivot which is free and less complicated but less awesome unless you're like a jedi master pro who's used it for a long time. Same thing for Flash.

Also, it is recommended that you do not attempt to start or join a clan at your early career. You will learn nothing. You wanna learn to RHG? Lock yourself in a room without distractions an hour a week and get cracking. There's no easy way.


If you break a rule, don't worry about it. You'll get a warning. And another. And then, you just stop whatever and come to me if you need more fruit baskets.
