My Game Names (Click to Show)
1: I can't recall exactly, but it was either Stronghold (the original) or Civilization II: Gold Collectors Multiplayer Edition. Both of these were due to watching my Dad play them, first just sitting with him and then eventually doing them myself.

1st place --
Need for Speed 2 SE, or possibly Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2.
The reason for these tying for first place is because they were great racing games, first off, but then the maps and actions were left wonderfully open ended. In NFS 2 SE, I actually managed to grind a McLaren F1 all the way across a suspension bridge on the wires, and then later hit a bump on the side of the tunnel and ended up driving on the ceiling. The was no auto-end to the map, so you could hit random jumps and do tricks and just SOAR far, far out through the sky and -- if you were smart -- end up landing super far ahead on the track. NFS HP2 was awesome because of the other vehicles. There were various other vehicles on the roadway, and the cops had helicopters that could drop bombs at you. The same open-ended jumps and tricks could be done in this one too.

Wacky Races
This game was based off of old Hana-barbara cartoons of the same name (late 60s), sporting such characters and Dick Dastardly and the Red Baron to name a couple of the more famous cartoon chars. Each char got their own unique vehicle with unique stats (speed, handling, and grip), weps, and flying ability. The tracks were whacky (forget tracks...they were worlds), and three different boosts allow you to either do a passive action, and attack, or a randomized object. You could drive, or fly. After getting into the groove, you could do totally insane stuff, and the hilarious actions never failed to bring a laugh when playing against friends or family. Oh and there was a battle mode too, where you had to get a certain number of "kills" to win (and these had a bunch of different cool maps). Add to this that random glitches on the maps allowed you to drive into a certain ditch and teleport way ahead, or that a well placed hit could knock an opponent into the wild-blue zone of map-glitch infinity, and I never ceased to love it.
3rd place --
Frogger (particularly Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge)
The original Frogger was an Atari/acrade game (the green frog -- "Frogger" -- trying to hop across the roadway and river to get his babies while dodging traffic, snakes, and crocodiles). Frogger for PC was a classic 3d tier-game from the late 80s/early 90s (My grandparents bought it for me, but kept it at their house, so I did not play it as much), and Frogger 2 came out in the late 90s as an update. It was a storyline-tied 3d tier based game with unique ideas (Frogger now had a true family, and Swampy the crocodile was the villain) and hazards pushing the gamer to his limits. Add to this collecting coins and beating clocks to be able to win and get higher ratings, you have a wonderful game. You could unlock different frogs with slightly different strengths, and then play in 9 different multi-player (up to four people) modes as well. Literally HOURS were spent with my partents and I all crowded around our old CRT (and later early-edition flatscreen) desktop laughing out heads off at our shenanigans, as well as with me alone trying to get higher scores on some nearly impossible tracks. Like, seriously look up videos of this game. It was hilarious, but deceptively challenging.
3:
IG Marauders. I was one of their earliest members, and laid the foundation for much of the development in that game with my lengthy time in the suggestion forums. I played it for years, but eventually it closed to be replaced by a newer, better game in IG's portfolio. Still, that was my fav mmo strategy game ever. It was great.

1st place --
Probably... Stronghold or Civilization (and the editions that I started with, not the later ones). They were my firsts, and though I progressed through their editions over the years, they're still my favs. Period. Esp Civ II: Gold Collectors Multiplayer. There is something about seeing those low graphic settles on that tiny square in the middle of an all black map that I just love.
2nd place --
Gears of War. I'm sorry, but nothing beats running around with a gun that has a buzzsaw on the front. Some of my most epic memories were on this game.
3rd place --
Super Smash...you knew it had to come into play here sometime... :D

Awesomeness (Click to Show)
So, this was in Halo (I think it was 5, but don't quote me on that). I was playing with a friend of mine (Chase), and he is an epic master of all FPS Xbox games. I have difficulty keeping my face pointing the right direction when I'm walking.
The thing is, he was poking fun at me at first, but as time passed, he had to admit my insane battle style worked.
The incident:
Okay, so we had to cross this huge area filled with aliens to get to a control station. We had tried several times his way, and had always failed before halfway. So I decided to do it my way. I went into running highspeed, and jumped OVER the aliens that came after me, no even stopping to look back. When I got to the Elite soldiers near the command station, instead of shooting and doing fancy tricks, I just kept running straight into them, hammering on the punch button, beating them into submission. I then casually pushed the button we needed, only to realize that Chase had died a long time ago.
A bit later, we were in a Warthog against a swarm of aliens and a hovercraft-tank, trying to get through a gate. I couldn't drive worth smut, and I operated the turret even worse. Needless to say, we were losing. So, I asked Chase to let me drive. He laughed at me, but finally gave in. I hopped into the Warhog, and proceeded to hap-hazardly rampage all over the place, simply running over every alien that moved. I then raced up a hill and launched myself at the hovertank, which I rammed and flipped. When I hopped out, I punched the tank driver to death, took control, and used the tank to blast through the gate.
A bit later than that, I had managed to beat an Elite soldier that had been giving Chase trouble (I jumped onto it and, you guessed it, punched it to death). I took its sword and its camouflaging armor. We then entered into a alien base, and Chase was killed in minutes. I, however, managed to use the sword (much better than punching with the butt of a gun) to hack my way through all of the aliens and reach all of the goals for that room, using my camouflage to keep a low profile when I needed to rest.
Chase, by this point, had his jaw on the ground, and was just giving me the "how the **** did you -- the ultimate noob of Xbox FPS -- manage to do all this?"
I smiled and said, "You underestimate the power of insanity combined with the punching maneuver."
(As a second incident, I did about the same thing in a Call of Duty to another friend, but this time I would hide where he couldn't snipe me, and used a double-barreled Winchester shotgun to just blast him to pieces every time I saw him.)
To this day, my go to skill in ANY FPS console game is the punching/melee skill....combined with total insanity...
