Zoe considered throwing her knife into the portal, but couldn't really sense any danger from it, so she decided to simply walk into it.

Looking up again from his damaged leg, Vitaliy quickly turned his head towards the door after hearing Seven shout out to alert the group, raising an eyebrow as he did so.

This better actually be serious...

Hopping off the windowsill and landing on his good leg, Vitaliy lifted his hands away from his wound, causing him a great deal of pain during the transition. Quickly discovering that attempting to use the muscles around the wounded area was no longer quite as convenient as it was before thanks to a heads up from the explosion of pain that arced up his leg in response, he settled with steadying himself against the wall with one hand as he began to walk forward. Eventually making his way over to the doorway, his body tensed up as he glanced outside, irritated look dominating his otherwise alert expression.

"I swear, if there is anotha' monstrous piece of shiet coming to k- ... Heilige Scheiße!" Vitaliy was suddenly left speechless upon noticing the swirling image floating in the middle of the street.

Rubbing his eyes with one hand to ensure he wasn't hallucinating, Vitaliy made sure to move to the side of the doorway as he watched the apparently sadistic knife-wielding girl from before step into the portal.

'Uh, hey, lady, are you sure you should be-' Seven tried to plant caution into the girl's mind, but to no avail. She had gone through the portal, and there was no telling what could have happened. Seven decided to wait until either she came back, or didn't.

Zach looked from the corner he was hiding in. He saw the portal with their bodies on the other side. He crept forward and inspected the portal, checking the rims before looking in. Satisified with what he saw he walked back and picked up Chell like a princess and walked through the portal without saying a single word.

Seven watched as Zach with a Chell in his arms walked through the portal, completely silent. Eh...hehe... These people seemed to throw caution to the wind. However, since Zach seemed so sure of his decision, and the fact that he was a pretty level-headed kid, Seven followed suit. 'I'll be going in, too.' He stepped through the portal, his eyes closed.

Gaius heaved a large sigh, calling after the people going in, "Can we ever talk about doing these kinds of things first???" He looked around, weighed his options, and decided to wait for more people to go before being too rash.

Vitaliy looked over at Gaius, then at their surroundings. The guy seemed to be thinking the same thing he was... which gave Vitaliy at least a bit of reassurance.

"Can't say I disagree with ya ther'..." Fingers twitching as his revolvers slid halfway out of his coat sleeves, Vitaliy kept watch with his back to the wall as he waited for some sign of the "portal" of sorts actually working for the others that went in.

This is getting ridiculous. If we're actually asleep for real, those lunatics better not try anything funny...

Seven opened his eyes and was on the floor, at the bottom of the stairs. His head hurt, but other than that, he seemed fine. He could see the others waking up, but now, Kegin and Karl were missing. Damn. That was too good to be true, huh?

He looked around and saw the knife girl, Chell, and Zach, in a state of waking up. It seemed they were all fine, the effects of whatever happened in the other dimension, reversed. He continued looking around for something, but he couldn't find it.
The portal was missing.
Well, shite. If the portal didn't appear here, Seven assumed that it disappeared there. Which could only mean that them entering the portal triggered...something. Here, however, not a lot seemed to change, compared to when they first entered the dream world, with the exception of the fact that it was now raining. It seemed like it was going to rain anyways, so that meant that they couldn't have spent too much time in the otherworld. The house seemed to be intact, the carnage caused by his allies, cured.
Seven could only think to wait until the portal was triggered again, or something happened here.

Vitaliy glanced in the direction of the virtual "god" in sudden shock for a brief moment, eyes widening in what seemed to be utter terror. Suddenly, his face flipped into a smug grin of blatant confidence. Despite the obvious approaching doom, he didn't understand much of any of it to really care.

"Yeah, thanks for the emotional support your holiness... I hope things work out fo' you as well. We all do our best ya know!" Smiling warmly as he spoke with a sad tone in his voice, Vitaliy sighed, knowing what would probably happen to him when he died. It was just a matter of when.

Maybe I do give a slight... tiny... irreplaceable... selfless d@mn about others. Hah... fun while it lasted I guess.

Closing his eyes, Vitaliy crouched down and crossed his arms over his chest in one smooth motion. Adrenaline pumping through his body, he ignored the pain coursing up through his leg and into his form as he took a leap of faith straight into where he knew the portal was.

"Jump, ya' fools!"

Frost, sensing the tremors, decided to not waste any more time. It would only be a few seconds before they would get absolutely crushed.
"I have to continue my investigations."
He leapt after Vitaliy, hoping that he would not die at the last second.

Following Vitality's words, and seeing another invisible force crushing stuff, Gaius leapt through the portal, hoping that if death would come, that it would come in a form he could fight to the death.

Zoe woke up in the same ball dress that Dr. Tavrin had ruined on the cold hard floor of some pauper's house. Despite her reservations, the good Doctor had promised her fun. Instead he must have slipped her some kind of drugs to give her strange but ultimately boring visions. The familiar feeling of anger and hatred ignited in Zoe's heart and she stood up, after brushing the dust of her tattered dress, and began scanning the sleeping faces for her benefactor for the night. He seemed to be resting peacefully.

"Get up, Doktor..." she threatned, grabbing the sleeping Tavrin by the lapel.

"Hey, I said, Get up!"

A crack filled the room as she slapped the sleeping doctor to no avail.

"Ignoring me, are you?"

She dropped him and stood back up. Without any hesitation, she kicked him, shoes pointed, as hard as she could in his ribs and abdomen.

"Is this what you promised me?! Some stupid fever dream?! Get up you worthless pig!!!"

Despite her violence, there was no more of a respond then slight coughing interspersed with heavy breathing.
"Ahh...ha ha..." an exasperated laugh emerged from her lips in a voice that didn't sound like it came from her.

"As though...a meatbag like you could do any more than...give Daisy something to play with."

Zoe's eyes, cold and dead, shined like the kitchen knife she drew her tongue across.

Chell woke up bruptly, breathing heavily and sweating slightly. She glanced around her, seeing the rest of the people that were with her in that unusual world. Everybody was there, some awake some sleeping. But two were missing; the ones that died.

She got up in a hurry and rushed up the stairs and out of the door. She immediately noticed that her speed was gone. When she got outside cold the drops of rain hit her. They were gentle and refreshing, somewhat even easing the migraine. She glanced around, seeing an intact city coated by rain.

"We are back..." She whispered.

She stood on the sidewalk, mesmerized as the rain drops caressed her face.

Zach shook off the headache, it wasn't something that fazed him for long as he was used to worse. The voices in his head seemed drunk, their voices faint and jumbled about. They were lacking power again... He was back in the real world. He let a faint smile escape before his face grew cold again. He looked around and saw Chell gone but a girl was kicking a body. She had a knife in her hand and he had to intervene before she went any further. He walked up and held her hand as he shook his head. He pulled out his notepad and wrote down quickly. "He hasn't escaped yet. Leave him alone."
