so basically this is a leonard cohen cover that makes the original song sound pretty genetic and emotionally plastic, and then pretty poorly splices intentionally obnoxious samples into it. it's mixed weirdly and clips and shit. i can't even tell if the person who's singing the cover is the same person who spliced waluigi shit into it. i feel like it isn't.

the main draw is obviously humor, but i didn't crack a smile at any point, so it was pretty much lost on me. what's the joke other than "the noises are stupid and annoying?"

not sure who would choose to listen to nose noises instead of at least a good cover of the song. i'd spin this instead no doubt. the song is best utilized when it's emotional and tense.

making the song on the level of a fart joke kind of wipes out all of its qualities.

i also highly suggest checking out leonard cohen, the artist who wrote the original song without the retarded waluigi shit. if someone makes a list of "best lyricists of all time" and leonard cohen isn't there, they probably have no idea what they're doing. up there with bob dylan in ultra-legendary tier.

Never thought this song will get stuck in my head for about minutes. I'm pretty sure this is gonna be my favourite song from now on. It really has a slow tempo, and it really made my heart fell in love. It's so smooth, yet I think the lyrics really made me shiver. The type of song I've been looking for, somewhat it's like classical plus jazz to be honest. Or maybe white jazz perhaps? Even tho the song is a bit repetitive, I still like it, it made me comfortable. Especially at 03:20, woah, I feel like I'm at a dreamland or something. Reminds me of my childhood, very nostalgic.

My favourite type of song genre. *below* Heavy Metal
Since the vocals are only growls and shit, see the lyrics to know for sure. *call me a fckd up person*

I love metal! But honestly the vocals aren't my favorite, stylistically. I mean, the dudes got an impressive voice but I would prefer a little more enunciation for the first half of the song.
Because it's sort of hard to tell what he's saying at moments, even if you're reading the lyrics real time. I'm sure I would've enjoyed the song even more if I personally connected with the lyrics too.
However, those are just minor gripes. The vocalist nails the chorus and the band behind him holds things down pretty nicely, especially the drummer.

Pretty good work all around.

Now back to the video game playlists with Vorpal. Here's another one that's been pretty popular on "best of" glitch hop mixes scattered across youtube, it's on my personal EDM list now. As I discussed before EDM helps me get in the zone whenever I'm playing games, which is almost daily, so even though EDM isn't my ordinary wheel house I've been making my own EDM playlist.

Watch your ass for that fucking drop at nine seconds, this one is a doozy.

It sounds like something from a Mario game to be honest. It has a very happy feel to it, though it sounds a bit generic, but then a lot of EDM sounds the similar at certain parts. Especially 1:20 to 1:50, it sounds like Highscore from Panda Eyes and Teminite. And you know what, you're right, this one sure is a doozy. The beats and the actual tune fit together quite well. The piano keys at the end were a big surprise, but that just made the song even better. The piano was a nice touch to the song overall.

Now here's a song by Cee Lo Clean. Pun intended.

Wheeeee~ this is my favourite song, I know it since I was 10 yrs old. The melody beat is really happy, even tho the title is 'Forget You'. This is the perfect song for vacations. The song keeps reminding me of beaches. The drum doesn't have any complications like the other songs, it has simple beats. The tempo is accurate. Not too slow, not too fast, it's accurate. The vocal really suits the type of the song, he can do high pitch in this song. But the opening of the song isn't very surprising, like you can guess what will it be, and there's no top where the song gets really funky or whatever. But still, this is my favourite song. It doesn't have any surprising ending, because this is a very simple and happy type of song.

Now here's another one. My favourite Rock Band.

Oh great, another pretentious rock thing that has a totally unique sound. Yeah no offense, but I see your song and I'm like wow, I guess the sound never really changes when you're in that awkward mid-teen age of discovery. Clarification, im not dissing the song; in fact all the pseudo-clones that I just linked I haven't listened to in years but I having listened to them now just linking them I find them dear to me at times. What I'm not all that impressed is how those remind me of this. And this, having no childhood attachment, just leaves a gray taste in my mouth.

not a bad little tune. like a solid 5/10. the lyrics, the vocal style, the bare-bones acoustic instrumentation, the chord progression, all of it solidly resides in "playing it safe" territory. they clearly set out to make a catchy, feel-good singalong so I'm not going to fault them for not being sonic pioneers here but I did find myself bored within the first minute or so. it reminds me of Renegade by X Ambassadors for some reason.

The music has a nice rhythm to it, and it's very peaceful, like it's trying to make you sleep, but at the same you time you can't, because there's that weird eery feeling that give you the shivers. The guitar gives it a nice relaxing feeling, but at the same time the background music (I think it's singing) gives it a scary sounding music like somebody is creeping up on you. Later on in the song, you can hear two guitars at once I believe, and that is a nice touch to the song. At the end, everything gets distorted and creepy and then normal again. That gives it a very amazing feel that I like. This music makes my mind filled with sick and terrible stuff. Which is what I'm usually thinking about, so everything is perfectly fine.

Now listen to some Foo Fighters.

I'm sure I've heard this before on the radio in a cafe or some shit. I mentioned this in the last post I made, but I'm kind of biased against songs with lyrics in general. This is okay I guess; I don't hate it or anything, but somehow it sounds to me like pop rock at its most generic. I'm not big on rock to start with, but I've heard other stuff that actually sounds unique and interesting, and this fall short of all that good stuff.

And now for something completely different. I hope you have good speakers.

Gotten back into my old hardcore stuff lately. It seems to help with my fatigue, this shit is stronger than coffee.

That was a really intense music track, Scarecrow. RIP Headphone users. I don't hate the song or anything, but some parts of the song just seemed somewhat not needed. Personally, I think this is a great way of waking someone up if they've fallen asleep. This song has a bit too much build-up in my opinion. It was a little repetitive, but unlike most people, I don't get annoyed when there's an extremely repetitive song playing. This sounds like a boss battle from some kind of video game. Or a good song for racing games. On a side note, how'd you find this song when it only has 86 views?

Here you go with Stan SB.

If it had an actual music video I might be more inclined but as it is, it just sounds like some guy yelling at us, searching for something interspersed with a really familliar tune. Can't put my finger on it, but it sounds like something from the glitch mob or you guessed it another game I played a long time ago. Sounds okay, but gets repetitive by the 2nd half part.

My turn!

Come for the title.

Stay for the music.

Pretty fucking good, I'm a fan of Kubbi too! Classy usage of the chiptunes right here, especially when the beat transitions. It's a couple tasty jams combined like peanut butter and jelly, if this song isn't already in a video game, it deserves to be. Can't get enough of how nostalgic the sound is, it's extremely easy to put this song on and let it rock. But to be fair, that's most of Kubbi's music.
That said if I had to make a list of best Kubbi tracks, this one would most likely be on it...not sure what the title has to do with anything though...

Aight, now you know what time it is.

Another one on my EDM list, I've been listening to this one in particular longer than anything else on my play list. I really like how the chill moments provide a good contrast to the heavy drops. Another glitch hop track too, that's three in a row.

The first few moements of the song is creepy. So is the music video. This has a cool beat to it, though I cannot really understand what he is saying, which kind of makes me not like this song, although this tune is sure nice. He has nice singing for my opinion. It's has a very optimistic feeling to it, and it's quite adventerous. And that electric guitar though. So amazing. Overall, a good song but I wish I could know what he was saying.

Steady built up to a breath taking bass drop is the first thing that struck me about this song. But I'm loving the speed in this track, like a runaway train that is also on fire. The calm interludes are absolutely integral here, because otherwise the intensity might be a little too much. I might be willing to wager this track could actually be too intense for the average youtube goer anyways. But not me, loving it, you can count this added to my gaming list.

Thanks!

Now speaking of my gaming playlist, allow me to drop another one.

Found this one yesterday and I'm a pretty big fan of it. Love the way the synthesizers trickle in to this song.
hell, in the video description the uploader even says "Tobu & Syndec join forces for ‘Dusk’. We cannot even try to explain how much we love this track."

Awesome track. The synth is done well and tastefully. I particularly like the bridge where the keyboard played in; really, that set the mood for the whole song, for me. What I like is that they hit that sweet spot between airy and beautiful yet still getting your pulse to race. I'm not a huge fan of total raging synth music, but neither to I like the ultra abstract work that many musicians make when they try synth. I have to agree with Vorpal in that this is certainly a great gaming track.

With that said, here's my first drop in. Happens to be playing on the radio, so I thought I'd toss it in here for you guys.
