How To Castle Archer Dodge?

I have heard many people talking about castle archer dodging and how to defend against it, but I have never seen anyone successfully attack miners and dodge the castle archer (with an archer) before. I tried it against Order AI by moving my archer in and attacking their miners, moving up and down in the process, but the castle archer always ended up killing the archer before I could finish off a miner. If someone could give a tutorial and a video on it that would be great. :)

I can do it but it's a glitch and abusing it is probably not the best idea.

Anim cancels are glitchy. The difference is castle dodging is clearly against the entire design of the castle archer.

Where do you draw the line between skill and going against the design of the game?

Kiteing is encouraged amongst players that want to reach the top yet that's a animation cancel. And I don't think when CJ made the game he had it in mind. (you cant kite in legacy for example)

Crawlers can animation cancel and I don't hear anyone moaning about that (you can massively increase the dps of the crawlers and doge attack doing this surely that's game breaking?)

And im sure many other units can do it also.

Whats right and whats not?

CrazyJay acknowledged kiting in the preview saying that we won't have it, which is completely understandable. Reason being? The controls prevent you from G-Kiting, duh. Of course, if there was a way to do it it would probably get patched because it goes against the SW1 formula.

Animation cancels are probably okay if the developer of the game is using them btw.

CJ wasn't even aware of CA dodge till I showed him, and he agreed that it wasn't right, people shouldn't be able to throw a CA out the window, it's meant to stop things from coming in.

Plus recent tournament rules don't allow it, maybe because it's a glitch? :o

You can micro that, but it's a glitch in the sense that it shouldn't be there but you can do it.
