Michel squealed internally that someone praised his character, but didn't bask in it for long as he responded. "I am an ore beast, born from obsidian, brought to life through the soul of an ancient elk." He brushed his towershield absentmindedly. "And I guess I'm fitting the stereotype as well." His voice reverberated to the heavy clopping of his hooves. "I go by the name Oberon, who may you be elf?"

"Uh... I be Noah Jacobs Jr, son of Noah Jacobs the first. I hail from... Chicago? Yeah, I don't really know how to do ye olde speak, sorry."

Oberon chuckled, it sounded similar to the barking of an elk but deeper. "I wonder what beasts we will encounter. I do not believe only wildlife will confront us." Michel envisioned goblins, kobolds, and other foul typical rpg creatures. He'd love if their first opponent was a slime. He wondered if they'd truly be easy foes like a stereotypical slime, or if they were going to be more like Flans from Final Fantasy, resistant to physical damage while vulnerable to magic.

"Well, I've got arrows that are good against beasts and supernatural, so if we come across those, shouldn't be too bad. Since you've got my back, I say we split the loot fifty-fifty."

"Welp, I'm off to the forest. That Mini-Boss is mine," Reiki states, and does a series of dash attacks into the woods for speed.

As Noah, Oberon and Reiki headed towards the forest, a rumbling shook the earth. A flock of birds burst from trees to the east, a large form drifting up over the tops and sinking back into the cover of the leaves. Followed by a massive, dog-like cry from deep in the forest.
The remaining players, wide eyed, looked at Seumas, who smirked, "There's the mini-boss, Cerberus."

Aelic laughed under his breath. "Yeah, he's a big beast. But slow, He's got a weak spot on his back, can't miss it."
Seumas began to depart, "If any of you see the other three, you might want to tell them that!"

"Welp, worth a shot."
Grumbling slightly to himself under his own helmet, Tyler took a moment to bring up his skills for a quick read-through. Glancing down at his sword, he came to a quick realization of what he was missing.

After a brief pause, Tyler looked back over towards the two NPCs as they started to leave. "Before you go, got any way I could go in debt to you for a ranseur or two? Either way, not sure if you guys happen to be the sort of NPCs set to the rules of the game, but I'd owe you both a genuine favor."

Seumas turned back around, "Sure. Just pay as back as soon as you can. Two basic ranseurs are worth about... Three wolf pelts."
Aelic walked over and stabbed the two spear like weapons into the ground next to Tyler's feet.

"We'll be over by the castle when you wanna pay us back."

Noah quickly regains himself, notching an arrow. "Summer archery classes, don't go failing me now." He points an arrow towards one of the wolves, carefully listening to the movements of the others to measure their approach. If they were this savage and organized, they'd likely try to ambush him. Luckily he'd gotten these silver arrows; it might make this ordeal easier.

"Thanks, I appreciate it." Grabbing the two ranseurs and sliding them into the metal cylinder on his back, Tyler turned towards the others still at the site. "I don't think any of us want to miss the first boss fight. How about we all group together and catch up with the others already over there?"

John looked over to the fight, and with slight hesitation, and forgetting he wanted to try taming some of the creatures, ran in the direction of the forest, nocking and firing off several bolts towards the left most wolf, careful not to aim too close at his tentative allies. He noting that the bolts reappeared when shot. He would have to try some wall climbing with that trick later.

Noah quickly unleashes his arrow at the closest, pulling another arrow free and loosing it towards the other as well.

Noah grabs an arrow from his quiver, and rams it into the wolf's eye. "That's not a chew toy!"
