"Oh, I was late to the reception. I just got connected and spawned recently. My crossbow here.." Anec brandished the draginfire crossbow, and continued, "specializes in fire." Anec spoke in a more hushed tone, above his right head's suppressed giggling.

"Fire, huh? Ok, maybe we can take this guy down after all. Still, I'd rather we figure out something and do major damage while it's asleep and not currently trying to murder us. Otherwise, we'll probably have a tough time, fire or no fire."

Suddenly, a double headed lizard person (obviously part of the American government, amorite?) rolled in from the air. He does realize that's the most dangerous way to land from flight, right? Wait, I could have been a flying lizard person? These late connectors seem to be much stronger than the originals... Interesting. Maybe I should have slept in in the car. Taking note of the... thing's crossbow, John began creating a plan. If he dropped down and talked to them, they could probably find a way to kill the boss. Of course, he knew nothing of the creature's eldritch biology, although he could guess that it needed legs and had something guarded in its large chest cavity. Going through the games to which the creature could be compared, two came to mind; Wrath of the Colossus and Monster Hunter. They both had very different fighting styles, however, and a 50/50 chance of death was not a risk he wanted to take. He dropped from his perch in the tree, landing with knees slightly bent, absorbing the force.

OOC: I cannot forgive you calling Shadow of the Colossus "Wrath of the Colossus." Forever sit there in shame for your heresy.

OOC: I would say Dark Souls would also be a good one. Great beastie with obvious weak spots but an overpowering presence. And I'm curious why you said Eldritch biology, there is nothing Lovecraftian about this beast at all. Nor anything abomination-like or horror-bending. I actually find it to be quite beautiful.

OOC: Me too, I've always liked the concept of living trees, I always thought they were beautiful. :]

OOC: I think we can agree that they're beautiful representations of the power of nature. Now, let's get to planning if we'll kill this representation of nature or not.

"Aah! Another adventurer reveals himself!" Anec said in a slightly louder tone than before.
"You seem to be familiar with traversing song the treetops, would you mind going around that creature, to scout for it's appearance? In particular, any visible weak spots?"

After saying this, Anec's right head gazed towards the creature while the left stayed where it was, addressing John.
The right head quietly activated the magnifying monocle, looking over the beast as closely as he could.

Noah glances at the new guy, instantly getting a sense of unease. "Yeah... what he said. I'll just hang here with the big guy."

"If that's what I think it is, then I would say that's the Guardian of the Forest. Judging by size its very slow but hits very hard." Oberon gazed at the trees nearby and saw a character drop down in the superhero landing. Why he was hiding in the trees was a peculiarity, but he ignored it as PvP was restricted for now. "However I can only guess that it can summon aid in the form of animals or dryads. If you two want to engage I can try to hold off the small fry while you pepper the miniboss from afar."

"I'm sticking with you, big guy. We said we'd split things fifty-fifty, yeah? If you're not feeling it, I'm not feeling it either."

Oberon smiled and gave a gruff bark of a chuckle. "Be a shame to kill something so beautiful. But would also be a shame to not partake in all this game has to offer. And if we don't kill it." He included the two-headed lizafd man whose character was awesome, Michel made a mental note to bring it up later. "The others might."

"Fair point. Alright, I've got an idea. See how you're huge, and you've got a big shield?"

"I somehow already don't like the sound of this idea." Oberon laughed then shrugged. "But I'll bite, what do you have in mind Noah?"

"Well, you could probably springboard me with it, and I could attack it from above. Who knows how many shots I could get off, and if I land on the other side and have the aggro on me, it'll have to turn to try to attack me. Which means you can get hits in while its focus is gone." He shrugs. "I mean, I know you're using a shield, but you can still bash things. Plus your hands look like they might hurt."
