Reiki practically leaps to one of the chairs and puts the headset on. Finally! I can stop being semi-nice to future team members and focus for once. He fiddles around with the headset a bit to get it on correctly. Black and yellow. Black and yellow. Black and yellow! I want a buster sword that transforms into a halbred, and... a coat! And jeans! Black and yellow! Black and yellow! The jeans can be blue though... BLACK AND YELLOW!, hoping the model will come out right.

OOC: The game then mentally slaps Reiki. "Hey! AJ said not to boot it up! Just to think what you wanted to look like!"

Maria finished her cigarette and headed back in. As she entered she noticed that people were already sitting in some type of gaming pods, interface prompted and functioning.
"It appears that I'm late." she casually said, stepping towards what seemed to be her pod. Maria stepped in and the interface immediately prompted her to create her character. In just a couple of seconds her game persona was ready, rockin the black leather armour and an elaborate long bow. She even took the liberty to summon a couple of targets via system commands and do some practice, testing the engine. It immediately appeared very fluid and responsive. The 5 targets she created got hit by her arrows in the matter of moments with fast and precise shots, all of them hitting the bullseye. When her test was done, the targets simply disappeared. She turned around and stood there, looking somewhere towards the 'ceiling'.
"Ready to go AJ." she stated, a slight smile creeping on her face.

Noah, having been zoning in and out due to the lack of motivation to really interact with anyone, simply heads over to his chair and gets himself strapped in. When it comes to his hin game avatar, he doesn't really go for anything all that complicated.
'Guess it'd be better to attack from range, so... a compound bow works nice. If I'm going bowman, might as well be an elf.' His resulting avatar looks remarkably similar to him, though, his ears are more pointed and his clothing a bit more appropriate. Wearing some baggy green cloth pants and a brown leather vest, he rocks a black and white bandana with delicate twisting lines on it, and sports a black and brown beanie. The red streak in his hair is also green now.

John sat down and created his character, as listed in the parameters several pages prior. He had been planning for weeks and knew exactly what he needed. (OOC: short and sweet going on a vaction trip soon)

AJ smirked a little, then nodded to David.
"Alright guys, when I flip this switch, you'll enter the game. Ready?"
The eight players all nodded, and he threw the switch...

Person began observing his surroundings, before slowly walking towards the castle. He was unsure of what the figures would do, he hoped they wouldn't attack him. He was somewhat curious on what the castle contained, so he decided he would first go there but stay a safe distance away from the figures, and if it was safe, he would go. If it wasn't, he'd go back and perhaps talk to some people.

Noah looks himself over, giving a slight grin as he does so. "Hm... not bad. This is pretty cool, actually. Character customization is definitely a plus to the game so far." He takes a seat, waiting to see what'll happen with the others for now. After all, these were the big name people. He wasn't going to get in anybody's way. Besides, at the moment, it looked like they were given an optional area and an area to progress. Since they hadn't been given any real objectives or goals, the castle would likely be a potential place to explore, probably a good beginning area to level up before progressing further into the world.
Of course, that could always simply be a setup, where it was actually quite dangerous and meant to trick them into a false sense of safety. Still, they were all supposed to be elite gamers. Even if it were a dangerous place, they could likely handle it as long as they kept their wits about them. Those figures in the distance did concern him, however. He wasn't quite close enough to tell if they were alive or not, and their lack of movement surprisingly didn't help the situation much.

John spun around, taking notes of the world around him; the resolution distance, apparently a close approximation of real life, the dynamic weather cycle, the lack of creatures in the woods (evidently not programmed in for simplicity's sake), and other, less important details.
After his quick spin, he got right down to business, checking for hidden items. He knew tons of developers liked hiding strong weapons near the start to help dedicated players progress more easily. He walked across the border formed by the woods, scuffing the ground with his feet and his bow periodically, at perceived imperfections. He was ready to leave as soon as somebody suggested it though.

Kai was now, finally, in the game. His ingame character would've looked exactly like himself, but it was clothed in a full body deep blue robe, that covered nearly everything, casting a shadow on his face. He looked at his surroundings. This is pretty realistic. That AJ guy did a pretty good job. he thought to himself, now looking over to the castle in the distance. From here, he couldn't find out any sort of useful information, so he waited until some idiot ran towards it one of his teammates went towards it first.

Ravine appeared a bit up in the air. She dropped immediately and looked around. She wanted to head towards the figures, as they might be NPCs with information and the lore of this world. She was way, way way, too exited to check about her character, so she may or may not have the small horns, (similar to a deer).

Noah continues to eye them silently from his position, though he did note that the person who went towards the woods was being attacked. It was 1 on 1, so he wouldn't be interfering. The figures before the group were of greater concern: after all, their equipment meant they were likely considerably more powerful. Them being peaceful was by no means a sign of weakness, but of mercy. Probably strong initial NPCs to give information about the world and/or give them a beginning goal.

Ravine took a small step towards the strange figures, and greeted them,"Heyo. Who are you?" Unsure of what to say next, she scootched back and waited for a response. She really hoped these people had the history of this place. Ravine loved the lore of games.
