I already have almost everything done for my RHG Character, and then I started making his demo in Pivot.
But now I'm struggling with some stuff; I'm like, taking hours to finish single frames, and then not being satisfied with the result.
So, I'm wondering, should I wait until I get a tablet, so I can animate in Flash, and until then, keep practicing;
Or should I just finish the demo and already start animating some battles and stuff?
Note: Obviously, I'm not gonna start animating right now, as I'm in a not very good psychological state (anxiety sucks ;-;); but as soon as possible, I will.
So, what do you guys think I should do?

You should animated more casually at first. Shoehorning yourself into the RHG mindset is probably just going to stifle your creativity at this point.
Instead of emphasizing the end result, focus on enjoying the process.
Otherwise you likely wont get enough practice to develop the skills you desire.

Looks like Pivot seems too 'rigid' for you? Then you're probably better off ditching it and using Flash because, free hand drawing. Also, I doubt you'd need a tablet. Just mess around with Flash, check all the features it has like those blur effect and stuff (I seem to know so much about flash right)
Start small, forget RHG if it seems too time consuming for you. Start enjoying the little things like, animating a ball bouncing using the squash and stretch method. Sometimes little things like those can bring a smile on your face and maybe even help with your anxiety. :)
Good luck

Jutsu speaks the truth. Animating to improve is just setting yourself up for failure because animating is a long tedious process and you really need to enjoy doing it instead of being frustrated when you're doing it. Enjoying animating will make you want to animate more, and improving just comes naturally with that.

Actually, starting RHG is one of the things that I want to do the most. But yeah, you're right, I should animate more casually.

In Pivot, I'm actually getting pissed off at special effects and stuff, since you can't really draw them. When I try to, I don't really get what I'd want to, and when I try to import an image, it gets messed up somehow. That's why I want to move onto Flash.
I want a tablet because I hate hand drawing with a mouse, but I'll still mess around in Flash.

But I really, REALLY enjoy animating, as long and tedious as it may be (just like drawing, and I also enjoy doing it), but thanks to my anxiety, I have to take it REAL easy, otherwise I end up having a panic attack. And that fucks me up because I'm both perfectionist and impatient.
Anyways, you guys actually helped me decide what to do from now on, as well as giving me tips and stuff.
Thank you all so much <3
