25 cents.

25-24=1
25-2=23

23+1 does not equal 25.

Don't think theres enough info...
Btw, heres something that was from along time ago. Can't figure it out...
Connect each line with the other line

|(a) |(b) |(c)

|(d) |(e) |(f)

Has to look like dat (ignor de letters)
so a has to connect to a b c d e f
b has to connect to a c d e f
ect.
so i think 30 lines together. SOLVE!

Cant remember if this actually works

Damn, someone help.

Mrs. Johnson is 3 times as old as her son. Ten years ago, she was 5 times as old as her son was then. Find each of their ages.

K, so

J=(Mrs. Johnson)
s=(son)

I got:

J = 3s
J = 5s - 10.

Then:

J = 3s
3s = 5s - 10.

I don't know what to do here. We've only learned System of Equations by Graphing, Substitution and Elimination (linear combinations). I don't see what to do now.

If you have 3s = 5s - 10
-5s -5s
-2s(/2) = - 10(/2)
-s=-5
So s = 5.

I gots lots of homework to do and not enough time to do it, so I would be most appreciative if you guys helped me out a bit.

http://picasaweb.google.com/tenseventythree/NorthernRenaissanceAndItalianRenaissance

That link leads to an assignment I have to do, I'm supposed to find general facts about each picture. So if some of you can at least find some of them that would be great. It ain't that hard and usually I would do this no problem but I have a report due for Astronomy tomorrow and I gots to do that.

Thanks in advance if any of you actually do one.

WHO ARE YOU CALLING A BITCH FOO'

I'll do one, since I studied about it in detail:
The man is holding the woman by her hand and rising his other hand, which was the way people used to marry in the 18th century.
The dog in the middle symbolises loyalty and the fact that somebody has taken off his/her shoes, means that the floor is sacred.
The people used to give much vallue to the oranges, calling them "golden apples" and were given at proposals by men.
One candle that has been lighted on symbolises the presence of God.

I don't know the author nor the title of the painting though.

I have got a question for you, it is to do with absolute values.

Question:

|y+1|+|y| = 4

Solutions:

y = 1.5, -2.5

My Problem:

I have got the y=1.5 part of the solution (Where I have considered both of the absolute values being great then zero. But I can't get the -2.5 as I am always removing the y value when considering |y+1| > 0, and |y| < 0, or vica versa.

Proof that I know the y = 1.5

|y+1|+|y|= 4

y+1+y = 4 if y+1 > 0
y> -1
2y = 3 if y > 0
y = 1.5

-(y+1) + +(y) = 4 if y+1 < 0
y<-1
if y > 0
(-y-1)+ (y) = 4
-y + y = 5 <------ THIS IS WHERE MY PROBLEM LIES, as y-y = 0, and 0!= 5

EDIT: DONT worry I missed on of the ****ing cases D:

Hello, My name is Fletcher Patch, as you all should know.
I read the books Freak the mighty, and Because of Winn-Dixie.
I can relate some of my best friends traits to some of the traits in the books.

Like when Opal from Because of Winn-Dixie went looking for Winn-Dixie for a couple of hours in the rain,
I have a friend that would help me when I'm in distress or make me happy when I'm sad, even if they have to do it in unreasonable conditions.

And when Max from Freak the Mighty picked up Kevin and let him ride on his shoulders. A best friend of mine once helped me when I was confused with something or was unsure, this, I believe, Is a main quality in

friendship.
My best friend also shares with me, when I'm interested in it, hungry, etc. Opal shares the candy she got from Miss Franny Block, with all of her friends. Sharing is also very important in friendship.

Kevin from Freak the Mighty is always telling Max that "He can do it!" and motivating phrases like that. Kevin also has confidence in Max. My best friends always root me on, and have confidence in me.
In conclusion, I think that all or most of the friendship qualities in the books I read relate to my best friends a lot.

does this sound decent enough for a oral presentation

Don't forget to tell how Freak dies! Can't forget that part, it is, afterall, the best part.

Here's my link. http://invention.smithsonian.org/centerpieces/whole_cloth/u2ei/index.html
