Name: Kwon Pandarus
Powers: Southern Yard Play, Melodies, Rhythm Sync, and Aura Detection
Spoiler: Show
Southern Yard Play: A special form of martial arts resembling theatrical acrobatics. Pandarus uses this style to integrate his ki into attacks, and rely on his other abilities to make him difficult to counter. Southern Yard Play is essentially stylish punches and kicks, with heavy influence on flips and other such moves. the techniques which use ki are listed below.
Spoiler: Show
Mirage: A technique that allows Pandarus to move his entire body without actually moving. Uses much ki, but leaves behind an after-image.
Life Wish: A double-edged aerial technique that if performed correctly can cause a serious amount of damage to the opponents body through a series of kicks; however, if the user misses, then their body receives a shock from ki recoil.
Orchestration: A technique that charges a surface with ki (usually a fist). When blocked, a shockwave is created, causing more damage than if the attack wasn't blocked.
Heated Yang Palm: A technique that heats the palm to high levels by focusing ki. Can be used to burn opponents or seal wounds. Requires less ki than the Song of Rejuvenation.
Melodies: Pandarus is able to use his ki to give the songs he plays special abilities. Because of this, he is able to cause battle scenarios to change in an instant.

Song of Death-A song that seems to make no noise, this melody brings death to any who hear it, aside from Pandarus. It works by causing multiple small wounds throughout the body, which will eventually cause the body to break apart. Though effects begin immediately upon playing, takes 120 seconds to complete song.
Can be used an unlimited amount of times
Spoiler: Show
Song of Blades-Not really a song, this is where Pandarus plays a sharp note to slice through the air with the force of a blade. This can be used in rapid succession.
Rhythm Sync: Pandarus can make his body's movements sync with his opponent's causing him to naturally follow their movements. This allows him to naturally dodge better, and makes his counters and repostes that much more effective. Only works within close range of opponent.
Aura Detection: Pandarus has the ability to see the natural aura of others. From their aura, he can see their emotions, and catch glimpses of what they're about to do before they realize. Pandarus is also able to associate auras to scents, so he doesn't necessarily need to see them to know they are there, or their actions.
Weaknesses:
1. Southern Yard Play requires that the user is able to fully use their legs, due to its acrobatic nature. Take out this guy's legs, and he'll be forced to use other methods of fighting.
2. Pandarus has limited ki. He can't continuously play songs or use Southern Yard Play techniques, or he risks burning through and using his life energy. Songs take up more ki than his Southern Yard Play, but are his preferred method of combat, due to the fact it is easier to subdue opponents without excessive force. Songs that affect his status use relatively low ki, and last for about five minutes. Songs that affect the opponent's status use considerably more ki, but last ten minutes. The Song of Blades uses next to no ki, but the instrument must face the opponent, and the sound waves are visible (meaning you can dodge them).
3. Pandarus' Rhythm Sync can be interrupted by surprise attacks, personality changes, or style changes. It is also necessary that Pandarus be close to his opponent for this ability to take place.
4. Some auras can have powerful enough scents, or be so brightly/darkly colored, that changes revealing intentions can't be seen or smelled by Pandarus.
Appearance: Pandarus stands at six feet, three inches. He is a rather large fellow, having a thick layer of fat and muscle. His fur is black and white, and his teeth are of average length. This is because he is a panda, cursed with a somewhat human form. Pandarus chooses to wear a bamboo hat, and a large traveling cloak. His pants are baggy and tan, with a hole in the back for his tail. He has no shirt or shoes. In his hand, he carries his violin and bow in its case. Pandarus' eyes are a dark hazel.
Personality: One who believes life is precious, Pandarus tries to avoid unnecessary conflict. His fighting style consists of dodging blows, while slowly chipping away at his opponent's stamina and endurance. He tries not to kill, though knows when he has no other option. It is a rare thing for Pandarus to speak, for often times he prefers to simply sit playing his violin. Pandarus is a rather smart fellow, and has been known to best many a foe in a battle of wits. The thing he is best known for however, is his kindness towards children and animals, who seem to flock to him whenever he is near.
Backstory: Kwon Pandarus is part of a species known as Homo Furrien, or Furry Man. Kwon in particular is part of the group classified as Home Ailuropoda Furrien, or Panda Furry Man. His clan was renowned for both their fighting skills, as well as their peaceful nature. Ancient fighting techniques were passed down through the generations, not for conquest or simple battle purposes, but rather for self defense. All techniques focused on grace and flexibility, since those were their natural downfalls. Kwon in particular showed a fondness for music, and on his twelfth birthday, he received a handcrafted violin and bow from his mother. Kwon practiced tirelessly, often times playing through the night. On one fateful afternoon when Kwon was away from the village practicing, a group of poachers attacked and killed nearly all of them. When Kwon returned, he found the village in ruins. He went to his mother, only to find her barely clinging to life. Her last act was to make Kwon swear to follow their clan's creed of peace. With this promise, Kwon set out to find a life for himself elsewhere.

The men were armed with swords and daggers, yet nothing for ranged assault. Kwon kept his hat tipped low, concealing his face. So far the men had assumed he was human, for they wer all ahead of him and his arms were in his cloak. He took a slow sniff, and could detect aggression, excitement, and a slight hint of pity from the men. Another tentative sniff, and he found the pity was from only one source. He could not properly identify which, for his hat obstructed his vision of them when he tilted it downwards. The assumed leader of the bandits spoke up once more.
"Give us all your money and possessions, and you can leave with your life and clothes. Except them panda boots you have on. Panda fur is hard to come by, them being such rare creatures." The bandit sounded as if he was getting closer, so Kwon stood very still and waited. When he could see the bandit's feet, he very slowly looked up. He felt no pleasure in the look of fear on the man as he backed away startled. He nearly lost grip of his blade. "What the f*ck kind of freak are you?!"
Kwon didn't acknowledge the foul word, but did answer the bandit's question. "I am... a panda man. I wish no harm. No possessions to give. Wish only for refuge." Kwon disliked speaking the human tongue. It flowed from his mouth like water through a poor dam. He much preferred the sound of his native language, or that of music. He also didn't like how gruff his voice sounded speaking the language. It was so guttural that it made him seem more bestial than he truly was.
The group of bandits had all drawn their weapons, awaiting their leader's command. The man still had signs of agitation, but was not going to look weak in front of his men. "If you ain't got anything, then I guess we'll just have to skin ya!" The man pulled his arm back and slashed downwards at Kwon, he simply sidestepped to the left. All who were present were shocked at how nonchalantly this panda man seemed to avoid being hit. It was almost as if he hadn't focused on it. In fact, he hadn't. With the man so close, Kwon's Rhythm Sync had kicked in, allowing him to match the man's stroke. The bandit broke out of his stupor long enough to command all his men to attack.
Kwon did not feel in his heart that the men deserved to be hurt. Looking over them, most were quite thin, their leather barely hanging on to them. A look of hunger and desperation was in each pair of eyes, along with a loss of the spark that made them intelligent beings. Now they were simply husks trying to find a way to survive each night. Kwon dodged another attack from the leader, and pulled out his violin case.
In a fluid movement that came from years of experience and practice, Kwon drew out both instrument and bow and placed them in playing position. Leaping backwards, Kwon played a sharp note towards the ground. A curved sound wave formed, striking with enough force to carve out a chunk of earth. Dust billowed forth, blinding the assailants. Carefully, Kwon began to play a different song. A mellow melody, similar to that of a lullaby began to fill the air. The bandits tried to make their way to the source of the music, but it appeared to come from all sides. Within half a minute, both the sound and the dust disappeared. The bandits looked around, but Kwon was nowhere to be seen. Instead, they seemed to be surrounded by wolves.
One of the men screamed and began running, and the others took heed of this. Within seconds, only the leader remained, his sword drawn and pointed at the wolves. Unseen by him, Kwon watched and wondered what the men had seen to frighten them, and why the leader remained. He was careful not to make a sound, for it would interfere with the hallucinations the bandit was having. Kwon began to walk away, when he smelled the pity once more. It was still there, and was mingled with fear and resolution. Turning, Kwon saw that they were all from the leader, who was the first to assault him. Kwon realized that it wasn't greed that drove this man, but the fierce desire to keep his men from dying. He must have remained to give them a chance, though there was no true danger.
Kwon reached into the small coin purse he had taken from the brother who held Kat and her sisters captive, and left a few coins on a rock in plain sight. When the effects of the song wore off. "I wish you many moons," Kwon said softly, then continued on his journey, never once glancing at any of the screaming bandits or their brave leader.
