I'm really liking the idea of making a music video. Perhaps telling a story through the song, though it doesn't have to be related to the lyrics, but the overall tone of the song.
(I just really like music)

It would be hard to find copyright-free music tho.
And Haunted Mansion doesn't really fit since we're likely to pass it on December. Hence, it'll be released by January. Waaaay past November.

Just gonna drop by to say there is a channel in Youtube called NCS (no copyright songs). You can use those if you need songs, I suppose.

They're mostly remixes and nightcores, not the original song. I'm not sure if we can make music videos out of remixes and nightcores. Especially if there's a need to make the animation relevant to the music.

Most of stickpage animation contents are using copyrighted song, Doesnt matter tho?
We simply just use it and hope for nothing will happen
Just saying.

Of course you can.
Some people actually don't mind if you use their song as long as you care to ask them.

I'm pretty sure there'll be guidelines on what exactly can or cannot be used. Although, traditional stick comps use music already so it's not like you can't actually do it.

I'd be excited if you meant the actual band

Sarcastic. I guess it's because I've never seen a stick-music-video before, so I can't really picture what a good one would look like. I guess it's possible though

If you want something that's fairly hard to pull off, it would be drama. Make people cry or something. But nvm, it would be way harder than parody.

My original thought was to have the music itself be more of an afterthought. The problem, as I see it, is that many stick fights, while glorious in their nature, have no story. A fight with a story is always better than one without. It gives the viewer something to latch on to. That being said, the music video idea was to serve as a means for people to tell a story through their animation without having to resort to text or speech if they didn't want to. The song itself would relay that emotion you are trying to get across. If you wanted to use thrash metal to animate a brutal fight scene you could, or if you wanted a softer song to tell a sad story, that is also an option.
If that is too broad, then maybe we could restrict it to a certain kind of story? I.e drama, as stated above. I think it would result in a lot of different interpretations of the meaning of a "music video" which would be quite interesting.
Or we could go with an entirely different idea altogether.
