Does anyone have a (legally obtained) serial number for Flash CS6 that I can use? I'd be very grateful. Also, if you know a program that can be used to animate similar to how Macromedia Flash 8 does, that would be grand. My laptop that had MF8 fell into a hot tub. :(

Hey Jeysea do you know where to put the serial number?
I can't figure out where I'm supposed to enter it...

Almost every site says there's supposed to be a "Help > Activate" tab in a menu somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

I'm using the trial version of Illustrator right now...

It should be on the top tabs. Or just enter the serial when the program pops up saying you're on a trial. Or you can wait for it to run out and bug you about it, and enter it then.

I didn't like the new software, the old one is so much simpler and less crowded. I'm using Macromedia for now.

That's why you go to Window>Workspaces>Classic, or just move everything to where you want it yourself. I think the only new feature with CS6 is the bones tool, so I'm not sure what's confusing you.

He could be referring to the layout. There are a few minor things tweaked here and there but like Arch said, most of it can easily be organised. You're better off with CS6 over Flash 8, as it's less prone to crashes.
