More insectoid creatures began to crawl from above the chasm. They grouped up with the others and started to surround and circle the party.

Orwell noticed the sudden increase of movement on his sensors and was already on the move. The Obelisk powered forward and he shoveled up Edward and Elyss, depositing them within the body of the mech, along with Mano's arm. The porthole shut and locked itself. "We will discuss later." Orwell stated and he pointed his rifle at the insects. He did not want to begin shooting and held off priming the minigun. If conflict arose he would start shooting, but the others needed to be just as ready as he was. He protectively stood over Leo who was still sleeping.

Sebastian looked around and reached for his sword lance to find it not there. He looked over to his resting spot to only see his short lance and his new empty shotgun. "Well damn it..." He groaned and began slowly making his way to his weapons, trying not to attract the insects' attention with any sudden movement.

"Hm? Oh...right..." Mercy looked around. She paid no heed to the bugs before, but as their numbers increased, she eventually had to. The girl clenched her mechanized fist, melting her fingers into one piece, that soon opened between where her middle and ring-finger would be, moving metal to the sides and creating a wide, tube-like pipe, with small holes in it. A short rod extended below at the exit, and the very tip of it lit itself with small blue glimmer.

Mercy pointed her flamethrower at the bugs, ready to unleash a quite literal hell on them, if they were to show any signs of further aggressive behavior.

"Did the job for me?" He snarled, "All he did was fucking nuke the place and send us into whatever place this is! I was taking care of it, in a safer way, and here he comes barreling in like he owns everything."

He moved away from Sebastian, turning to the bugs that were crawling back and forth, "Don't attack, yet," He warned, "I think they're friendly--at least for now."

Leo had never been more confused in his entire life. One minute he was fighting, next minute, he woke up in an extremely strange place surrounded by bugs. He looked aroun, trying to figure things out. Mano was missing, and Nikolai was not very happy at the moment. He didn't move, not knowing if the bugs were friendly or not. "I hate bugs, and I hate not knowing what's happening. Where the fuck are we?"

A new creature shoved passed the other insects. Its large worm-like body bigger than the other dog-sized monsters around it. It scuttled through the horde of smaller creatures before approaching Nikolai Jr. It sat up on its hind legs, almost equal to him in height. It lunged forward, snapping at him with the large mandibles around its face.

Nikolai Jr jumped back in surprise, "Forget what I just said," He called, drawing his revolver and shooting right between the mandibles of the beast as he landed on both feet.

"Opening fire." Orwell stated, the minigun roaring to life. He poured bullets into the worm attacking Nikolai as his armor-piercing high-caliber rifle fired at the slugs. He hoped the large round would be strong enough to cause hydroshock within the creatures and they would rupture.

The bullets punctured through the weak flesh of the slugs and insectoids. The monsters dying by the dozens, the survivors scurrying in terror and panic. Their chittering filling the cavern as more crawled out of unforeseen holes in the rock walls.

Suddenly, they all stopped. A single rock fell from the top of the cavern, only a pebble in size. Then the ground shook. Near the open maw of the cavern above, several purplish flesh tendrils were wrapping around the edges as some gargantuan beast moved above.

Nikolai Jr glanced up at the coming beast and exhaled in pure annoyance, "Nice one," He muttered, "Now we've got another fucking problem." Experimentally, he started to shoot at the tendrils with explosive bullets, hoping to puncture the skin.

"I don't wike this!" Leo cried, grabbing his pistol and trying not to scream like a little bitch. When he said he hated bugs, he meant it. He'd much rather deal with tentacles than insect monsters. Before he opened fire, he waited to see what happened after Nikolai shot first.

"Now who would've thought..." Mercy shrugged sarcastically, and grinned as a blue clear fog streamed from the tube. Upon contact with a small glimmer at the end, it became a long stream of raging blue fire, pointed at the smaller skitters as well as the purple lashes and the cave they were coming from.

"Master Edward you should get into the chair." Orwell stared up at the incoming threat. "Madam Elyss you should also find something to secure yourself to. There should be restraining bands you can use to tie yourself down." Edward jumped into the operating chair, taking off his hoodie to let the operating spine set into his back. He put on the helmet and fit his arms into the sockets. The mech opened fire, shooting at the tentacles with the rifle as he shot at the horde with the minigun.

The small insectoids dropped like flies as they ran around harmlessly in a frenzy of terror. Meanwhile the smaller rounds bounced off the tentacles of the monster, but the heavy rifle of the mech blew them apart. A massive roar came from overhead and the tentacles moved with renewed vigor, pulling the massive bulk of the monster into the cavern. The area was tight, and the monster filled most of that direction.




With the monster covering one entire way of the cavern, the only options were fight or retreat the opposite direction.

As the beast began dragging itself out, Orwell began to slowly back away. The thing was much more massive than he anticipated, perhaps rivaling even the behemoth in size. "We should run." He stated simply before turning tail and running. The mech ran forward, using its instruments to sought out a feasible escape route.

"Running, yea sounds good." Sebastian turned around, sheathing his short lance as he began running, shoving Nikolai, Leo, and Mercy to get a move on as he would take rear. It was insurance just in case the thing lashed out, it would grab him.
