"Ay, there now..." Mercy stumbled just a bit when Edward hugged her. "...That's what I do after all...Just please, please call me Mercy, it sounds weird when you put that whole 'Miss' in front of it...Im not that much older."
She turned to Leo, once she realized he's approaching. "Well...You could become a one-armed bandit..." The girl smirked, almost obnoxiously. "No...Im just kidding...But sure, I guess I could...'Lend you a hand'..." Mercy was clearly forcing herself not to burst into laugh at this point. "...Ok that was terrible, Im sorry...Now, stay still, this may feel funny." Saying that, the Technomancer put her palm on Leo's chest, and released a burst of blue sparks. The boy could feel a warm, tickling wave going through his body like a prolonged shiver, as the energy crackled around him.
Once finished, she took a step back, placed her hand on her chin thoughtfully and smiled again. "Now that I took the measurements...how do we handle this..." Shaking her head, she squatted down, putting her palm on the ground. "Boy am I a horrible person today...and I still have a whole handful of these jokes left..." The girl murmured amused, and in the meantime, Isabelle joined the conversation. "Well...I just do that..." As per usual, a black square appeared around her hand, and as she began to pull the shape out of the ground, it appeared to be a really long rectangular cube. Once more the girl looked at the piece of metal and then at Leo's arm, before she began to work her 'magic' "...and it just works..." The block covered itself in blue sparks, its mold falling off and revealing the prosthesis inside, shortly after.
"And now to the worse part..." Holding the metal limb with one hand, Mercy suddenly touched Leo's stump with the other. Once more he could feel the same sensation, this time much more bothersome and focused on one point, as his flesh was being turned into metal. The whole stump was transformed into a metal plate of sorts, some metal rods and wires sticking out of it. It seemed to fit perfectly with the end of the prosthesis however, as Mercy was connecting both of them, not letting her 'patient' wait in pain. After some short jolts of pain, Leo's new arm was ready and fully operational. "Aaaand that'd be it...High-five?" She raised her metal arm into the air, smiling widely.
No matter of the answer, after that was done, Mercy'd head into the cave as well.
[OOC: Im not sure how much of his arm Leo actually lost so uh...yeah...I also rushed a lil cuz I really gotta go to sleep...]

Elyss didn't mind being set on Mano's lap but she felt uncomfortable so with a polite 'excuse me', she moved to one side and sat beside the kinetic manipulator. When it was brought up about her biology, how she felt around she breathed in. Elyss expected maybe one of them would be curious and she didn't want to hold up any information if it was needed.
"Well," Elyss started to discuss. She wasn't that verbose with her words but she explained it with enough detail. Her porcelain armor was her skin now. They had specialized nerve endings, more mechanical than organic, that were wired to her manually. She explained that the porcelain skin felt her but not her, like clothing you can't take off. She could 'feel' her surroundings, it was never dulled in the first place but in times of war then, she explained, the fraysans decided their supports needed a longevity boost. "They had to rearrange my insides as well, fix or update my organs."
She sighed but she tried to focus on resting while she explained. It wasn't bad to talk of these things, she supposed. She hadn't had anyone to talk to besides Mercy, Edward and Orwell.

"Huh. That's interesting. Don't worry too much about falling, you're close enough to me. You should be careful with how you move though. Basically, I've locked a part of you, your cloak, in place so that it can't fall. Can't really shift at all, at least not the part underneath you. Real nifty; it's how I stay in the air. I keep certain parts of me from falling and all. It's pretty useful, and super fun. Let's me get up high and stuff like that. Ah, but that's me rambling now. Back to your biology, it looks like you can still get fatigued, so you should really be careful. You're kinda our only doctor. I'm interested in learning more about medical sciences so I can work on some of the technology we had in hospitals, since it's more or less in disrepair at the moment, but before I can think about any of that, we need people actually staying alive with medical knowledge, ya know? Ed and Mercy are great with prosthetics, and I'm sure when I work out how to mass produce them easily, they'll be of lots of use. But there's other things we could worry about, things only you could help us understand. So even if we need you looking after us, we need you looking after you even more. On that note, however, once we're sure the cave is safe, I'm gonna get to dissecting these beasties we had to fight. I dunno about everyone else, but I'm starting to get hungry, and I'd like to learn a bit about some of the creatures biology, and figure out if they're safe to eat at all. If they're not, we'll have to start checking the local flora for edible flowers, leaves, fruits, roots, berries, yadda yadda food stuffs. If the monsters don't kill us, hunger sure can. I'm guessing the water wall has a supply of water so that's not as immediate a threat I guess. Though there's a chance it's not pure or it's salt. If it's salt, we're maybe in trouble, but hey! Purifying water isn't that difficult. Not from the old survival books I read."

Elyss nodded slowly. Maybe she was too caught up trying to redeem herself for her actions being a fraysan that she forgot that if she dies, all of it would be for naught.
"All right," she said. "I'll try to look after myself as much as I do you guys."
"Do you want to learn to be a medic? I can teach you," she suggested. "You say you need some medical knowledge anyway, at least when I'm away, the team has one in place of me."

"Oh!" Mano's eyes light up. "I'd totes love to be a medic! Ain't nothing in the world that ain't worth learning in my opinion!"
Sep 23, 2016 4:37 AM #1461502
Elyss couldn't help but smile. "Excellent," she said cheerily. "I hope you aren't queasy. Or afraid of blood."
Sep 23, 2016 4:39 AM #1461503
He blinks, then points at the corpses. "You... you heard me say I'm gonna cut those up, right?"
Sep 23, 2016 4:43 AM #1461504
"Yes," Elyss said. "I've had comrades who were vets before they came to me to learn medicine. It seems the jump from animal to human flesh came differently for them. I'm simply being sure, Mano. If I am to take in an apprentice, I should know."
Sep 23, 2016 4:46 AM #1461505
Mano leans to the side, seeming to not understand. "Huh. That's peculiar. Well, it's not like I haven't already cut people open before. Always dead, sometimes not intact, but it's just a thing that you've gotta do sometimes if you wanna learn about how people tick. Of course, a live body differs from a dead body. Same makeup, but still such a huge difference. Kinda neat actually."
Sep 23, 2016 4:50 AM #1461506
"Your first lesson is quite near actually," Elyss stated. "If we can secure the cave, I will be performing a surgery on Edward. You can watch if Orwell and the patient are alright with it."
Sep 23, 2016 4:53 AM #1461507
"Sounds fun! Thanks! They're probably inside by now, and since we haven't exactly heard anything, we can start going down. You'll wanna hold my hand, unless you think you can get the hang of balancing yourself walking down. I don't want you falling out of the sky, even if we're not too high up. People can hurt themselves with short distances ya know."

Elyss looked at the hand for a moment before reaching out to take it. "All right," she said. "Better safe than sorry."
"I hope Nikolai has checked on everyone... and Isabelle fetched Yogi," she muttered. A flash of Leo's face in pain reminds her of something then she shook her head.

He takes her hand, and begins to steadily descend to land. "Just making sure you don't accidentally leave my space. If you're too far away, my trick doesn't work. Probably a good thing, I mostly use it for travel and self-defense, ya know? It's meant for kokua. My makuahine taught me that I should always help if I could, never harm." They reach the ground and he lets go. "I've taken it to heart ever since I was a keiki." He gives a big grin.
Sep 23, 2016 5:11 AM #1461511
"That's quite admirable, Mano," she commended. "Sounds like a perfect creed for a would-be medic."
As a medic, you need to know more than pacifism. Sometimes you need to take lives because it would be for the betterment of the patient.

He grins. "Give me a holler when you're gonna begin. I'm gonna start studying the local fauna." And just like that, he turns towards the Predator's corpse, heading for it, his hand shifting to form several knives and a saw. "Lets see what your muscular structures are like first, eh? Gonna have to remove all that skin."
