Mano looks over to her. "Oh! You're Mercy, huh? I'm Mano, but everyone calls me Manic. It's an alright nickname. I like it. Kinda fits me, y'know?"

Yogi was still cleaning up the bloodied battlefield, dipping his mop in the crystal clear water in his bucket, and shoving with a smooth, fluid motion.
It was almost as if he were dancing as the ground slowly looked like it used to be. Veeeeeery slowly though, with all the ash and oil it was impressive that he could even work this fast.

Horace saw the group interaction in figuring out if they want to help this stranger. He smirked, pulling his pocket watch out looking down as it glowed faintly and sliding it back into his pack. "My my look at the time, so he wants you dead aye". He chuckled adjusting the brackets on his wrist. "Why not ill give you a hand, you guys seem like fun". He looked around at the group smirking.

Jett looked over at the janitor guy, raising an eyebrow, "Is he...Is he coming with us or is he just there for some strange reason?"
Nikki J simply shrugged, "I'm honestly not very sure," he called, "Hey, janitor guy! You coming with or what?"
They waited a bit and then shrugged, "If he really wants to come, he'll follow--I wouldn't turn down cake," He began walking out of the city, expecting the rest of the group to follow suit, "I know a place just outside of The City. We might wanna get out of here quick--the civilians are starting to stare at our halfling here."
****
Jett stepped into the bar as overdramatically as he could, nearly smacking Nikolai in the head with the door. He put both hands up and shook 'em around, emerald eyes staring outward. There were only a few people in the bar at this late hour--a homeless man, a drunk, and a woman. Of course, the bartender was here, too. When he saw Jett he exhaled heavily, turning the other way.
"Jim!" Jett jumped, sliding down across the counter, "Aren't ya happy to see me?"
Nikolai cracked his knuckles, expecting someone to jump at him for the recent announcement by Carnifex. The entire interior was rather beautiful; smooth mahogany walls and floors with only a few stains, a bar filled to the brim with different drinks, and of course, cake at Jett's request one night months ago. He looked to the center of the room at a man with a band behind him, filling the room with music.

Elyss entered the establishment and first took in the music. Such a wonderful voice, and the music accompaniment? Grand. She tilted her head up and appreciated the melody, the porcelain woman didn't even know it but she smiled. First and foremost, she looked around for a good seat, not too far but not too near from the musicians and the good vocalist. She looked like a child as she clasped her fingertips together as she sat down and rested her chin on a bridge made of her fingers. Elyss rocked her head to the beat, visibly enjoying the atmosphere it all entailed.

Mano, not exactly one to frequent bars and such, simply finds himself a place to sit, leaning against a wall as he sets his bag on a table and pulls out tools and scrap. He takes off the wrist device he received from Mercy, and begins to disassemble it, looking over how it's assembled and where each part goes, taking measurements and comparing it to his own device, looking to see what adjustments need to be made so that his own will function similarly. It really was interesting, her ability; creating a completed product so easily from just examining an incomplete one.

Yogi was finished. The street was now back to what it used to be, plus a little bit of sparkle.
He thought it might be good to get a beer after his work, so he walked in, before instantly eyeing the stains on the ground.
He began to repeat the process before, just cleaning, unaware of eyes on him.

Edward's eyes blinked open and he stared up at the Obelisk. "How... what?" He rolled out but Orwell curved his fingers to cage him in, then help him down more gently.
"Did you sleep well Master Edward?"
The boy patted his chest in confusion. "My lungs don't hurt... didn't I have an episode?" He stood still, trying to remember what happened but all he remembered about the event was collapsing.
"You can thank Madam Elyss for that, she is a very gifted healer." Orwell's camera looked to the bar. "You should join them Master, get to know your comrades."
"Comrades?" Orwell recounted what happened with the Fraysan Necros and then the radio transmission, playing it back for the young boy. "So to keep you safe, we are going to kill him."
The boy blinked, the only question he could formulate being, "How long was I out?"
"Long enough that you should eat your ration now Master Edward." The boy pulled the grinder out of his pocket, the ration now crumbled but still in noticeable chunks. He began cranking the handle, spinning the blades to grind the rations into the water, turning it into a sludge-like drink. Flipping open the nozzle, he fit it into an opening in his mask and began drinking. He looked at the bar then back at Orwell.
"I don't want to go in without you..." He mumbled.
The AI sighed, "Master I can't enter and you know that."
"We should make you a small drone so that you could." Edward sighed and kept slurping.
"You should try talking to Madam Mercy about that then, she is the one with the metal arm. She is very competent with making machines. Her and the Hawaiian man." Edward looked at the bar then back at Orwell then back at the door. When he looked back to Orwell, the Ai sighed and ushered the boy in, pushing him across the ground to the door, kicking up dirt and digging shallow furrows into the ground.
The small boy paused at the entrance, standing there as he finished his drink then pocketed it back into his hoodie. He walked in and looked about, locating the woman Orwell described. As he walked he stopped by Elyss, giving her a slight bow and a thanks, his small voice probably getting drowned out by the music. Edward walked up to Mercy and tapped her metallic arm, trying to get her attention before he could ask her for a favor. But as he tapped her arm he realized she owed him nothing and so had no reason to create a small drone for Orwell. He froze in place, now standing before Mercy, completely not knowing what to do.

"The music's good, eh?" Mercy came up to Elyss' table, turned one of the chairs around, and sat down, crossing her arms on the backrest. She looked at the band, then at the woman, her smile slightly fading after a moment. "Hey, what happened to your-..."
Couple of quiet clinks, and the fact that someone poked her right arm, quickly distracted her however. She looked to the side, and saw Edward, just standing there awkwardly, not saying anything. "Oh hi Ed, woke up already?... Everything alright?"

Elyss noticed Edward and immediately nodded back. Despite the music, she could sense the boy's heartbeat.
"Hope you feel better," Elyss said cheerily. Mercy suddenly dropped in thr porcelain woman acknowledged her with a nod.
"Yes," she agreed when Mercy asked about the music. "The music is grand." When the woman was about to point out her exposed hands she immediately retreated them into her sleeves suddenly concsious of them. Luckily, Edward was still there and the boy had poked Mercy's robotic arm.

Jett finally jumped off of the counter, crossing his arms, "Come on, Jim, we go way back!"
"You worked here for three days and use your employee discount for everything" he said with disdain.
"But I brought customers!" Jett showed the group off with his hands, "And we want a room."
"Jett-"
"We're trying to save the world here!" He grabbed Nikolai, pulling him to his side, "See this guy? He's the Half-Fraysan that's gonna save us from Carnifex."
"He's the half-Fraysan?"
"Oh god," Nikki J muttered.
"Don't you wanna be the guy that said 'I let the people who saved the world use my rooms'?" He turned, "Also we need cake."

Mano raises a hand. "Send some of that cake my way if you please, thanks." He continues with his tinkering.

The boy's ears perked, he remembered having cake for his birthday once before he lost everything and gulped as he began to drool. He turned the volume on his mic up so that he could be heard slightly better, "I... I want cake too." He stated softly raising his hand. "And... milk?"
Jul 28, 2016 6:21 PM #1455910
"C'mon, they're practically begging for cake," Jett said, "And they're obviously gonna be sleepy after--I'm the one that implemented the cake thing!"
"At my dismay, yes," Jim retorted, then exhaled, "You know what? Whatever."
Jett waited for him to put a plate of cake for each group member on the counter. Jett took one and gave another to Nikolai Jr, who reluctantly took it, "Come get it!" He called, tapping the counter. He stopped Jim just as he turned to walk away, "Hey, hey, now, that's not all."
"Jesus Christ."
"You see a lot of people walk in here, even those poor souls from The City once in a while."
"Yeah?"
Jett leaned in closer, "You probably know exactly where Carnifex is, don't ya?"

Leo looked around the bar. It was pretty fancy; fancier than anywhere he's ever been, anyways. His yellow eyes scanned the almost empty room. A homeless man, a drunk, and--
"Well, well, well, who do we have here?" he said to himself. He spotted a pretty woman, and a woman meant that it was time to bust out the charm. Leo put on his sexiest smile and walked over to her. He may only be 17, but he was damn good with the ladies. And the men.
"Well if it isn't my lucky day to have the pleasure of meeting such a beautiful woman like yourself. Mind if I sit here?"
