Haven't animated in months, decided to do a rust break and I think it's pretty good, going to really get serious about animating again.

CnC please, I think it's pretty smooth. :)

The first punch was alright but everything after it looks ridiculous, was that second kick literally two frames? For an attempt to get back into animation that's pretty lazy. The last kick was just weird too.

I think what happened is the second kick made him slip and fall, then Doors logic began to apply as he floated off the ground via a very questionable kick

why would you go for a 'speed kick' immediately after a relatively realistically paced punch? if you're inconsistent with your own animation style things like that stick out like a sore thumb.

if you want a fast kick then having the leg extend in 1 frame is fine but it shouldn't retract back to its original position in the very next frame, it makes the leg look completely weightless. kicking that fast requires a lot of force which creates momentum in the body as it propels the leg forward, which you negate entirely by having the leg immediately reverse direction at the same speed once the leg is extended. does that make sense?

Oh yea, wow thanks man, that was actually really helpful, I'll keep that in mind next time.

I think the key to silly styles is smoothness. If you make it go too fast or if there's too much jerkiness then it doesn't look good because it looks too unnatural. It should be slower paced so that even though the movements are obviously exaggerated and cartoony, it would look more deliberate rather than sloppy.

Yea, I understand, I put all that in mind with my next animation I'm bout to finish.

I don't think it came off rude, even if it did I asked for criticism so I should take it and not be a baby about it, thanks homie.
