ABILITIES
STEP
Step has a Light magic-based electric power. He can enhance his hits with this power that can make a normal person be stunned and dizzy. He can make electric explosions at his will that electrocutes his enemies. He can dash on short distances. His fighting style is "The way of the Zorio". This fighting style enhances the strength of the chosen body part of the person. In this case he uses his kicks to fight. Since the machine of his father somewhat worked on him, he is immune to electricity. Though his power looks fit to fight and is not too OP, this is only less than half of his power. His light magic is not fully used to its full power and needs training to do so. Here is the list of magic he has to get:

CRIMSON
Crimson has a Night-Shadow magic power. She morphs into a shield that is invincible to aid Step. She can transform into a shadow and feel way less pain than a normal person. Can dash on short distances. Can make shockwaves that push enemies away on a 2 meter radius. Unlike Step, she will kill if you give her a solid reason to. Has the same fighting style of Step but prefers punches. Just like Step, she can enhance her hits with her magic. Having the same case as Step, she also needs training to unlock her full power. Here is the list of magic she has to get:

BOTH
Step wields Crimson as her shield to aid him in battle and uses it for defense. They also can combine abilities and perform an electric explosion with a shadow shockwave. When they are separated, they have good teamwork and know each other's roles. Both of them are SOUL PARTNERS so both of their souls become one on SOUL HEAL. This is used on super-healing. They use it when one of them is in grave danger.

WEAKNESSES
Though they look strong, they are still normal humans. You can hurt them. Both are semi-predictable. The electric explosion has only little voltage and can be only used once. Shadow from can only be used 10 times in a battle. They don't admit it but they care deeply about each other. They can't afford each other to die. The one most affected by this weakness is Step. He loves Crimson so much but he doesn't admit it. If ever Crimson is on the brink of dying, he is taken over by darkness and becomes RAGING DARKNESS. While in this state it greatly enhances all his fighting abilities and light is temporarily replaced with darkness and has a thirst for blood. But he is only in this state for ten seconds and he is completely invulnerable after. Good luck surviving those ten seconds of hardcore hell. They don't use SOUL HEAL as much because of one problem, their souls become one. If one dies, they both die. That is why they don't use it unless you force them to. Step's biggest weakness is his mindset, HE DOESN'T KILL NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES! He will never kill, Ever. Step believes anyone can change no matter the race, kind, or backstory. This is his biggest weakness and you can take advantage of this. Crimson biggest weakness is her fear. If you trigger her fear enough, she will freeze and not even try to attack.

STORY....A LONG-ASS ONE……(I’m not sure ‘bout my writing skills. Would be glad to check on criticisms)
The hidden country Zorio is where they live. It was a happy and peaceful place to be.It was ruled by the two sister queens, Sol and Luna. Sol ruled the east and Luna for the west. Sol is the founder of Light magic and is the strongest magic to be ever created. Luna is the founder of Night magic and is the second strongest magic. But the both of them know the darkness will take over Luna. They found a solution but it involves killing Luna and the darkness with it using light magic. Sol opposed of the solution but Luna was prepared to do so. This was the only solution and Sol eventually accepted this but was a little hesitant. A few years after, the darkness attacked Luna and was about to Luna. Luna called out to Sol and Sol rushed in. Sol was about to kill Luna but hesitated. Luna was going to be completely taken over. The darkness stabbed Sol, weakening her. Sol finally stabbed Luna. The both of them knew the stab was not enough to kill Luna and when she dies it will only weaken the darkness and eventually take over the country. So the both of them extracted their power and halved the country in two parts. They had to choose which half to protect. They chose the eastern side so that the light will grow faster in its home place. Using the light and night magic they made a barrier on the eastern half of the country to protect it. The remaining light amount was shot on the eastern side to seek for a suitable host, and the night shot to the west so it can search and grow there as well. They both said their last words to each other, dying in the process. The darkness went to find the general of Luna's army and took him over instead. He will be known as Aldrift Spriggan, the brutal dictator.

Step's backstory
Step was born in the eastern side of Zorio. His father was a former teacher in the dojo of "The Way of the Zorio". He taught Step on this martial art. Now his father is a scientist. His father wanted to try an experiment with his machine. His machine can modify human genetics to make it a conductor of electricity without killing the human. The problem is there were no volunteers and it has no guarantee of survival. Step was 17 at this time. He gladly volunteered for the experiment, but his father hesitated. He couldn't use his own son to conduct an experiment knowing there is no guarantee of survival. Step begged for it because he wanted to help his father. His father barely talked to him because he was busy with his research. Step wanted to volunteer to help his father and have some time with him. His father couldn't stop him so he eventually let him so. They were setting up in his father's lab. Step stepped in the machine and they started the machine. A sudden earthquake occurred in their place which damaged the machine. His father rushed to the machine trying to get Step out of the machine, but it was jammed. Step felt great pain in the process. Because of the electricity, he was on the verge of death. Then the light crashed onto the lab making an explosion. Smoke engulfed the lab. His father got injured at the arm. He tried to find his son. He found a flickering light ahead of him, he followed it and found Step. Then the soul of the light queen appeared before him. The queen's soul told the events that happened. The queen also told of Step's worthiness to wield the magic of light. His father was shocked that his son was going to wield this powerful magic. She then told him to report of the event to the general of Sol’s army and ask help from them to find the night magic user for they will be soul partners and will be destined to defeat the darkness. The queen also said to stay away from Aldrift, the general of Luna's army and said that for now the general will lead the eastern side of the country. The queen’s soul disappeared after and Step woke up. Step asked his father what happened to him. Then a spark of electricity flickered on Step’s arm. Step got startled and jumped away. His father made him calm down and told of the event’s that had happened. Step was a little surprised but a little hesitant. Then his mind was put with the procedure to make him and the night user soul partners. He accepted the fact that he was going to save the country, but had a little reluctance. So they set off and did what they had to do.

Crimson’s backstory
She was born on the western side of Zorio. Her parents were part of Luna’s army so she was with her grandmother all the time. At the time she was 16. After the death of the two queens, the atmosphere of the whole west changed quickly. People went on rampages when the darkness took over the land and Crimson was in danger. Her grandmother got trampled of the stampedes. She ran away and tried to find her parents. She went to the castle of the night queen and outside she found her parents, both with a sword on their bodies and Aldrift smiling with glee, disappearing after. Crimson ran to her parents and tried to drag them both to a medical base. But his father said not to because it was too far. His father and mother called Crimson to come closer. They both extracted their shadow magic and transferred it to Crimson, but it was incomplete. His father told him to find a suitable magic to complete the magic as a whole. Her parents died. Crimson swore to herself that she will kill anyone that had dark magic, Especially Aldrift. She ran away to a forest and rested there. Then the night found Crimson and went into her instantly. Crimson got afraid and didn’t know what was happening. Then the night queen’s soul appeared before her. Because of the trauma she just experienced, she couldn’t trust anyone. But the queen calmed her down. She told of all of the events that happened and what she needed to do. Crimson silent but was in deep thought. The queen also noticed that Crimson had fear in her heart; it was a fear that could put Crimson in danger. So the queen told her to control her fear as much as she can. The soul then disappeared. Crimson wandered all over the forest, avoiding encounters with other people.

Their meeting (There’s gonna be some dialogue here)
Step and some of the army entered the west. They went in carefully without anyone being spotted. Step at the time was thinking of his abilities and why it was given to them, but he continued on. As they were searching, Step saw things he had never seen before. It was a “kill or be killed” atmosphere in the place. Whenever 3 hours pass they see a person getting killed. Step slowly knew why he was given this power. He became determined to save this place and went searching in the deepest parts. He ended up in a forest. Then he felt a presence similar to that of the light queen’s, but calmer. He followed the mysterious presence and found Crimson. Crimson also noticed the presence of a similar feeling and saw Step. She ran away, thinking it was some murderer. “WAIT!” Step shouted (Step: FINALLY SOME DIALOUGUE!!! The last two parts were booooriiiing! Me: Just SHUT UP!!! Please! Let me concentrate!). Crimson didn’t mind the call and ran. Step chased her while still shouting. Crimson got caught on some vines and fell down. Step caught on and tried to hold Crimson to the ground. “Don’t touch me!” Crimson said and punched Step in the stomach. “AHH!! That hurt!” Step said. Step tried using his light powers. Crimson stopped moving and was calmed. Step sighed and let Crimson go. Crimson asked “Who are you?”. “My name is Step. I and the light queen’s army have been searching for you.” Step said. “You have the night magic right?” . Crimson nodded and showed him her power. Step then remember the procedure to make them soul partners. “Put your hand out and make a night orb.” Step said. Crimson did what he told her. Step then put his hand out and made a light orb. Crimson remembered what the night queen told her. “Are you ready?” Step asked. Crimson nodded. They chanted an ancient phrase three times and light emitted from their hearts. Both lights connected, indicating the procedure was complete. “Come with me. We will go to the eastern side of Zorio to stay and train there for a while.” Crimson followed him. They went back with the army and went to the east. The both trained for a year. Gaining new abilities. The general thought that this training is not enough to reach their full potential. So he asked his soldiers on what to do to reach it faster. A soldier mentioned the RHG system. The general liked the idea and told Step and Crimson. “So me and Crimson are going to leave the country? Are you guys gonna be okay here without us?” Step asked. “Don’t worry. We can handle ourselves. You guys need to go there and register so you can get to your full potential.” The general said. Both agreed and set off for RHG.
