Hey everyone! For all of you who don't know me, I am astygmatas, and (about half a year ago) was active and did a few RHG battles with my character, Astygmata.
I have returned, but do not plan to pick Astygmata back up. I do, however, wish to continue RHG'ing.
There are... issues, though. For the life of me, I can't seem to do a decent walk animation for stickmen. Below I will post a gif of a short I made today, which will show how... Cringeworthy... my walking skills are.

What I ask of you all - please direct me towards some decent tutorials, or help me here - either way, thank you!



PS: I am currently using Stykz, previously used Pivot. I am open to new animation software, and have money if necessary. Just tell me what to get, I feel like doing this right ;')
PPS: Also, I still have the link to Astygmata in my bio - there I have links to my battles, etc. Went back and watched them. Yeeeeeah. I need help roflmfao

as for animation programs, I say Flash
it's a bit harder to learn, but its much more versatile than any program with pre-built stickfigures.
you can buy the newest ones, however, I'm pretty sure you have to pay monthly (I may be wrong)
Anyway, if you don't want to spend, you can get Flash 8, it's got most of the same things.

When he says flash 8, he means flash macromedia professional 8.

Yep, as I figured. I played w/ Macromedia a little bit. I may be an idiot or something, but I cannot seem to even MAKE a stickman in that program... let alone animate one D: /cry

If you suck at animating something, avoiding it is no way to deal with it, you need to practice it until you don't suck anymore.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but you just sorta put one foot in front of the other and ease in a bit. Chances are if you're not good at making something walk your other movements are pretty choppy too :(

Well, I have had an extraordinarily pitiful amount of time lately. Figures. HOWEVER - I got bored whilst away from my computer the other day, and downloaded Flipaclip on my phone... Made some crappy yet amusing 2 second anims. (enjoy? lol idk)
