I've seen the concept before and its essentially what are gladiators would be like if they were in a tabletop strategy game called Warhammer. The abilities so far seem actually pretty in-line with our actual character abilities. I'm actually really impressed.

I actually do have a question. I'm a little confused on some of the strength numbers. Suppose S=4; What's the difference between stuff like S+4 and S 8?

Light is literally a ground marine.

In what fashion?
Also as to Urako's question:
S+4= user's strength + 4
S8= just Strength 8.
Strength is what you compare to toughness in order to roll to wound.

Probably break down each specific attack listed after vocals shown and put the warhammer equivalent of a buff/malediction/summon/etc. I know its complicated, but this thread was your idea.
