Quote from IgnusBurns
David frowned at the young mortal's reply, "I see, I respect that kind of attitude, but I cannot respect a man with no kindness except for himself. I have put others' well being above my own in my journey. I would rather earn my weapons without conflict and little persuading."

He grasped the staff in his rough, calloused hands as he stood up and gave it a few good spins and swipes through the air. Satisfied with it, he sat back down and made it retract into its smaller, more portable form, "A very fine weapon indeed. Lightweight, sturdy, and full of potential uses, I assume you use it for good?"

Dozer took his weapon back and nodded.

"Other than self-preservation, this staff allows me to compete in a gladiatorial system which is pretty important because i'm trying to save people who are buried in the aforementioned system. Other than that, it's mainly used to take on people who wish to duel me and to allow me to save people who cannot save themselves... and ram the occasional vending machine when I pay for something and it doesn't come out."

Derrick frowned at a recurring memory.

I paid for that bag of potato chips.

Then turning towards the other man in the group, Derrick extended his staff again and held it out for Cadell should he want to see it. He figured the boy would be the first to want to handle it given that he was the academic type but David was pretty quick to request it so it was what it was.

"If you want to see it you can."

Cadell held up his hands. "Thanks, I'm good. David swung it around well enough fo' sure. Props to beating down those vending machines though; Manipulative robot b@stards had it coming."

David smiled at Cadell, the man's demeanor reminding him of someone, "Your way of speech resonates with me. It reminds me of my current student. Interesting, no matter how far I travel, I can always find someone to remind me of where I belong."

Cadell shrugged, smirking a little. "Well, I do suppose my chill vibes are rad indeed, good sir. I doth travel a gross amount myself."

Derrick pocketed his staff and listened to the two. He couldn't help but smirk about Cadell's vending machine comment but he wasn't sure what to think about David's reply. So for a while, he just stood and listened.

David laughed, outright and sincere, "I see, let me ask you, have you been to Palestine? It's been so long since I've been home I can't imagine what it's like back there. It was where I got my first weapon."

A portal opened to his left and he reached in, pulling out a large wooden club, with a handle wrapped in cow hide and a blunt end that was smoothed from a carving knife. The Immortal let it clunk down onto the table with a loud BANG! "It's crude and heavy in hand I grant, but in defense of my life it has served far better than none..."

Cadell shook his head. "Nah man, can't say I have. Although, to be fair, I did lose track of where I was going a while back."

"Which meant that I had to fill in for you."

"Isn't that what you do anyway?"

"Of course n- ... Oh, well yes. But that's beside the point. It was your responsibility!"

Cadell grinned. "Not anymore. Besides, my sense of direction is fantastic."

"You just admitted that you lost track of-"

"Correction: My fantastic sense of direction for finding the best way to avoid needing a sense of direction."

As Tanya finished one of her numerous cigarettes and drinks, she suddenly stood up and began making her way towards the exit. As she passed next to Abra, she smiled and gave him a nod.

"Well, gentlemen, this has been all the time I had. Goodnight and enjoy the rest of the meeting."

Then, without really waiting any possible response, she turned around and headed for the exit, leaving the complex. She stood in front of the building's doors before disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Having not much else to do, Mr. Stinkfoot leaned a little to the side and began to count his toes. Of course, he had four on each foot, but as he counted and re-counted, he ended up having more or less digits than normal. Confused, he stared at his left foot for a little while, just to make sure. No, he still had just four for each one. Relieved, the monster turned his gaze towards the human Prince Voidwraith had insulted. He felt like apologizing, but was unsure of how to catch the man's attention. He couldn't risk waking the Prince, and he didn't want to leave his position.

Still...he'd heard somewhere that humans could sense when they were being stared at, so that's what he did. He tried to stare as intensely as he could at the staff-wielder, crossing his eyes to improve his concentration. Once the man looked his way, beckoning with his tentacle should be enough to bring him over.

Mr. Stinkfoot was right. It didn't take long for the boy to realize he was being watched. When he turned, he saw the guard staring intently at him and motion with one of his tentacles for him to come forward. Dozer considered for a second why the man would want him in his company before heading over there. Once he made his way to Mr. Stinkfoot, he asked why he was there quietly so he didn't distract the sleeping king.

"Is there something you wanted to talk to me about?"

"Good bye love." Abra waved. Downing his own drink he got up. "I think I should also get going. I best continue looking for the two boys." He began walking then stopped. "Jeden will you be coming with me?" He asked the young man who nodded slightly. He took his can of coke and followed Abra out after waving good bye to the others.

Mr. Stinkfoot nodded.

"I do apologize for what I said about your weapon." the monster began, speaking in a likewise low tone. "Please forgive the Prince. This is only the second time he's ever been outside the palace."

The monster smiled, and then extended his right tentacle to the human. "Mr. Stinkfoot. A pleasure to meet you."

Derrick held out his right hand in response and shook it with Stinkyfoot's tentacle.

"I'm Derrick Ozer. Don't worry about what you said about my staff. I know the prince coerced you into it. As for the prince himself, I can forgive him. I've forgiven much worse I assure you. However..."

He looked at the man sleeping on the couch.

"Only two times? I find that surprising."

Cadell waved towards the two leaving. "Seeya fellas. Best of luck on your alcoholic escapades n' stuff!"

Slipping his hands into his pockets, Cadell sat up from his chair and rocked back and forth for a moment. Whistling to himself, he decided to look over at the conversation by the couch.
Raising an eyebrow, he glanced over at David. "Ey, want to head on over to D-man's new creepypasta friends? I'm sure they won't mind being swarmed by a few more folks."

Chuckling, Mr. Stinkfoot looked at the Prince again. "Well...he's never really ruled his kingdom properly; he would have been heir. Directly after his father's death, however, our people got abducted by aliens and the Prince was determined to go and save them."

The memory prompted another smile from him. "Turns out all the aliens wanted was a servant for their lord; a servant that would get annoyed with every single task he or she was presented with. They let everyone else go and would have flown off with the Prince, but I managed to stop them. Now...his Uncle Snotsnout has the throne. Honestly, I believe Prince Voidwraith couldn't care less. Not many know this, but the Prince can't stay seated and order people around for too long. Sometimes, he even walks around the castle and does his minion's jobs for them. Of course, he never does this without complaining heavily about them...but he still does it. Maybe he got that from his mother."

"As you may have guessed, that alien invasion was the first time I and the Prince were outside the castle. After getting a new one, the Prince simply refused to go outdoors. It took a lot convince him come here, but then I said that the Empress lived on this planet."
