I would like to see it less inspired by anime(especially Diary of a Summoned Hero, =_=) and with a little more work put into each chapter, but felt it deserved a bit of recognition for your persistence.

Just skip the ones you don't get. And I found it helps to look at what others did to figure out how it works.

Below is my updated (final?) ballot. The changes are marked with a bold asterisk, and there were only 3 total changes. The first change was to my choice for Rookie of the Year, previously Anderson45. This is not to discredit the legendary one-post wonder, but rather to shine the spotlight on someone who better fulfills the mold of Rookie of the Year. Having put out quality content on a more consistent basis, I amend my vote for Rookie of the Year from Anderson45 to SriGraecus.

The next two amended votes were originally self-votes, and the amended categories were Best Arc and Best Clan. My justification for self-voting on these categories is simple- it's not that I'm specifically targeting the clans and arcs that I participated in to vote up as "the best," but rather that in 2016, the stories I wound up getting involved with were ones that I enjoyed enough to get involved with in the first place. This is particularly relevant when we look into clans- as I was (simultaneously) listed as an active member of three of the major wRHG clans on the ballot currently, and warred a fourth. I don't think it's fair for anyone if I were to black out my vote on which clan(s) I see as best based purely on the fact that I was a major player in the clan scene for 2016.

An additional constraint, of course, is that I can't just say "My clan" was "the best," because again, I was in three. So inevitably I was going to have to narrow down my favorites, and the choice I've narrowed it down to is Sanctuary. I am basing this opinion purely of the structure, administration, and leadership style of the clans I have seen- all of which tend to favor Sanctuary. Sanctuary has made very few demands of its membership, set the standard for the absorption of characters and NPCs, offered additional missions in the form of ACRs for both members and non-members, and produced a successful collab for 2016. This makes Sanctuary my top pick. That said, do want to call out Nehushtan and Moirai for having some of the better setups in terms of communication I've seen in clans. All I'd have to do to talk plot with the guys from those two clans is hop on Skype or Discord. Everyone tends to be around and easily accessible to each of the others at any moment, and that's what I tend to look for in any clan I would want to bring my characters into. So that's something I want to clear up as well- a clan can be the best objectively, in terms of structure, administration of tasks, etc- but in some ways be outclassed or overshadowed by clans whose members, their stories, and goals simply better align. So despite having an answer, I'm still conflicted. Just something to mull over for anyone looking into clans for any reason.

I also amended my vote for best arc- ended up voting for Wilder. Good story, good writer, and it's presented beautifully.
