Matthew Nielson is a small, blue-skinned, yellow-eyed bipedal alien (although he prefers being called a cyborg because it sounds cooler). He always wears an ocean-blue shirt with a simple M logo in the front. Beside the logo is a small apostrophe s, and below it is the word ‘rule’ complete with an exclamation point. He always wears a pair of dark grey, nearly black jeans (with pockets), and a pair of yellow and black sneakers with silver lightning bolts on the sides. He can see in the dark, but only for about a radial distance of 12 ft from his position. His hands have rectangular-shaped palms with a single, central finger each. His head is square-shaped and has a crest of seemingly the same size protruding from the back of his head.
He's three feet tall; leading most people to treat him like a child even though he’s probably outlived their great-grandparents by now.
Matthew Neilson acts like a child most of the time due to his mystifying agelessness. In certain situations, he can be serious, but mostly settles for being a carefree goofball. He was raised by many nice babysitters, so he’s become nice himself as a result. Still, he loves nothing more than to play pranks and make jokes…some of which could be downright rude.
He’s no killer, but has been known to cause deaths accidentally.
ACST (a.k.a. the Awesome Cool Slashing Thingy): basically, a laser sword from Star Wars. He built it himself, through processes he’s absolutely refused to share. The blade is cyan in color, and can cut through almost anything. His skill with this weapon is unimaginable…if he’s being serious, that is.
The Force (kind of): Matthew can manipulate things within 24 ft of his position, ranging from anywhere from 30-35 lbs to 4,079 lbs (the latter only possible if he strains really hard). He says he can do this with the power of wind; no one has been able to figure out what it really is.
Unstoppable: Matthew Neilson has incredibly fast recovery from minor injuries. He can also endure massive damage without suffering much harm. Pain only registers for a few seconds, but then vanishes while he’s in recovery. He also can't bleed for some reason.
Physical Attributes: Unlimited stamina, high speed, high evasion, and unbelievable damage resistance.
SPECIAL ABILITY
HAHAHA, I Copied You: If Matthew ever looks in a mirror, it wouldn’t be himself he sees in it. Instead, he’d see NME, his “evil” twin. NME can get out of the reflecting surface if Matthew’s close enough to see him in it. However, if Matthew has no mirrors around, he just pictures NME in his mind’s eye, and he’d appear immediately.
NME’s abilities are based off of whatever Matthew copied. For example, if Matthew’s in a room with a gladiator with ice powers, NME will have ice powers when he spawns. If Matthew’s alone, NME will spawn with his normal abilities.
For extensive details, refer to the NME spoiler.
ACST – he needs to hold it in order for it to work. Getting separated from it can be an issue.
The Force – he needs to pay attention in order to use this. His mind tends to wander and get lost in the light of his own awesomeness, so he doesn’t use the skill often. The further away the object is, the harder it is for Matthew to focus enough to manipulate it. 6 ft is easy, 12 is okay, 18 is challenging, and 24 is hard. If he gets distracted, he drops the object.
Unstoppable – he can get cut in half, cut to bits, etc. If anything like this happens, his recovery time will increase from its usual few seconds to a boring 10 minutes. If he loses a limb, it’ll regenerate. This process also takes 10 minutes. While recovering, small blue lightning bolts will periodically strike him or the spot he’s recovering in. If his parts/death area/body is attacked a second time while he’s down, his recovery time penalty is nullified.
He’s not invincible…it just takes a lot more to damage him than usual.
HAHAHA, I Copied You – spawning NME subjects Matthew to extreme pain and complete blindness for 30 seconds. The power is randomized, so if he’s in a room with all sorts of people with all sorts of powers, it is highly unlikely that he’d copy himself (it can happen though).
Not-So-Awesome Melee – Matthew is mainly a melee character, so any type of ranged enemy can be difficult for him to deal with.
His Own Worst Enemy – Matthew gets distracted and/or bored very easily. He often doesn’t take fights seriously (unless innocent people are involved) and has been known to be quite…haughty. Sometimes he makes a joke and then can’t focus on what he’s doing because he’s thinking about it or laughing so hard. His overconfidence often turns out to be his biggest weakness though…and there is no end to him underestimating just about any opponent he goes up against.
