Since Rock Band already has BYOB and there's too many joke songs/double bands in Guitar Hero, then Rock Band 2 wins for me. Oh, and BYOB is DLC for Rock Band, not being included with Rock Band 2. Both BYOB and Toxicity are available to download now. Chop Suey is the System song for RB2.

Plus, all original songs from the first one can go into RB2, and all downloaded songs

Cash cows at Activision want you to spend more money to restock on download songs... again... for the 3rd time I believe.

The only thing Guitar Hero had going for it was the pressure-sensitive drums. But, well, Rock Band 2 has this now too.

To put all Rock Band songs on RB2 you have to pay $5, but I don't think that's too much to pay for 50 songs.

Also, you can by add on cymbals that make the playing even more realist than GHWT if you know what you're doing.

Me? I just bought a real drumset and I use Rock Band charts to learn certain songs.

but with the RB2 cymbals, theyre the same thing as the two middle pads. GHWT has cymbals that r completely separate from the pads.
As stated several times, the hammer ons in RB are impossible to notice, and on GH they are as clear as day.
and it IS actually pretty fun to download songs that other people made online, cuz there can b some good ones.
In my opinion, the only thing RB has that is really worth much is the fact that the pedal on the drums is attatched; on GH it slides around every time u hit it, and that can b annoying.

If you think its hard to see the hammer - ons in RB then you should get an eye exam.

And? If you know what you're doing, playing with the cymbals accurately as you would if you were a drummer, it's still more realistic.

Eh, have fun making them but most people's are either shit or deleted quickly due to copyright.

LOL. I've accidentally broken a GHWT bass pedal at Best Buy because it was too stuck to the carpet. There's rubber grips and velcro, if you have trouble with it staying still, you're probably a giant or you have the calf strength of Superman. Which because of the first part is even more frustrating than RB2's slight sliding issues.

Answers in bold.

GHWT's peripherals suck dick, the timing window is gigantic and even with that I get random misses. And I know what I'm doing, I'm one of the top 50 drummers worldwide on Rock Band.

Playing to user-made songs on GHWT is like playing to a ringtone, and those of you saying that more customization makes GHWT a better game than Rock Band, you're idiots. If you want to compare the games in general, being able to make your own guitars doesn't make up for shit gameplay.

"Better songs" is completely subjective, but as far as DLC is concerned, RB has GHWT beat hands-down.

Just so I don't sound completely biased to RB, the touch-pad on the guitar and the 6 piece set-up for the drums are both extremely fun, when the controllers actually work.

I own GHTW, and I think its great....

its just that it seems to sometimes have that 'cheap neversoft feel',
especially as far as some of the graphics are concerned.

ive never played RB but i dunno, they both look pretty much-of-a-muchness to me...

Actually, if you have the Line 6 effects on guitar, it doesn't sound NEAR as bad. The song creation is the only reason I'd EVER buy GHWT. I rather enjoy making songs on the game and then playing them.

rock band is better than ghwt, this is mainly because of the layout, songs and the rock feeling.

No. guitar hero is better because the guitar actually feels good. the rock band one has those useless buttons at the bottom. (seriously has anyone seen anyone use those?)

Seriously, they're the only buttons I use. They can be used to only tap during solo sections. More useful than Guitar Hero World Tour's touchpad that rarely even works.

The buttons at the bottom let you tap solos in rock band. I completed a solo on expert using that technique. Try it. It's useful...you can nail those hard(I mean really hard) solos.
