*Sure, why not?* Clive signed back, giving her a two-thumbs-up after the sentence. *Do you want to hold hands, or lock arms? Or would that just be weird?*

Abbas, satisfied with his answer to Loch, turned back to his dance partner and bowed his head, "Sorry for cutting off our conversation Sarah, though I feel it is polite to answer any questions that may be presented to yourself." He apologized, taking her hand in his own two once again.

Raising his head, the Immortal thought it necessary to continue their previous conversation, starting off with something new to talk about, "Now, I must ask, what types of dances are you most comfortable with? I would hate to take you onto the floor during a song you're not comfortable dancing to." He asked, smiling.

"I'm about the same with most types of dances" she replied "It doesn't matter which type you choose." Her words were technically true. She'd never been invited to dances such as this before and while she had some practice before coming here, she was a total amateur in just about any dance he came up with. It wasn't her fault and there was no use explaining why to Abbas at the moment. He'd find out soon enough though. Unknowing she let a frown slip.

Perhaps this was a mistake.

'Locking arms is fine!' Blair smiled, catching her elbow on Clive's, 'I just don't think I could sign if we held hands.' The motions were a little clumsy with the new movement restriction, but she did them decently. Beaming, she turned her attention towards the snack table, just in time to notice Sarah's frown a little ways over.

'Should we introduce ourselves?'

Abbas noticed Sarah's frown and his smile slightly wavered, but remained. He thought about what she could be thinking, and came upon the idea that she may not view him as another everyday person.

Rather, a gladiator in the RHG, a superhuman, high and mighty in their ways and not suited to appearing in public. The Immortal tilted his head, "Just so you know Sarah, you invited me to this, I didn't have to come, but I did, because, after realizing I had at least one fan who wanted to meet me, I chose to come and fulfill that fans' wishes. You're that fan Sarah, and I'm your date tonight, so treat me like one, treat me like a friend." He stated, smiling wider than before.

Sarah actually laughed at this. She had been thinking been thinking that but that wasn't the biggest concern on her mind. Not at the moment at least. "Thank's Abbas. I really appreciate it, but that wasn't what I was worried about. I mean yes you guys are gladiators and many of you are para-humans. Special individuals who really have no reason other than kindness to be interested in ordinary people like me. And while I was afraid of that when I came through here, i'm worried now that I don't have much dancing experience. It doesn't matter what dance you choose, I doubt i'll be able to make you happy."

That was the truth and the true meaning of what she said earlier. To e honest though a little of her first fear spilled over to her last concern in the last sentence and she felt a little nervous about what she had just said. Make him happy? "I'm sorry. I meant to say I doubt i'll do very well. I still want to try though."

Abbas laughed in response himself, the young woman's apparent fear to inadequately dance seeming so irrational he actually laughed.

"Why ma'am, I didn't come to this event to dance with a professional. I came to enjoy myself and have fun, as have you. So please, don't degrade yourself, I think you'll dance just fine with me."

The Immortal smiled warmly, "Besides, you don't have to dance with me if you really don't want to."

Clive nodded. *Sure! Although you may have to catch their attention; I literally can't vocalize.*

His shoulders jiggled a bit, reacting to his invisible laughter. The pair then approached the other dancers.

'No problem!' Blair chuckled herself as Clive led the way to the other dou. Softly, she cleared her throat.

"Hi! I hope we aren't interrupting anything, we just wanted to introduce ourselves before the music started. I'm Blair, and this is Clive." Her eyes lingered on the fan a moment longer than the fighter, a gentle concern in her smile. It seemed like she was having the same doubts she had.

Abbas turned towards Blair and Clive, looking over the otherwise pretty young woman and the slightly intimidating reaper. Clive's scythe blade shimmered on his back, and Blair herself was smiling, but not a sincere one. The Immortal couldn't quite place what feeling was associated with her grin, so he let it drop.

"Nice to meet you two, I'm Al-Abbas min Filastin but please, call me Abbas." He took Blair's free hand in his own and bowed his head, then stood up straight and bowed low to Clive.

Sarah barely had time to respond to Abbas before the two came over to greet them. She smiled when she did though.

"I said I wanted to give it a try didn't I?"

But when they came, Sarah more or less stopped and stepped back a little behind Abbas. Only barely and hardly noticeable to anybody, in fact she didn't even know that she even did so herself. Yet she did. Mostly at the sight of Clive. And really, she felt that almost anybody would be afraid at the sight of what looked like the Grimm Reaper. She didn't mean to be rude though and eventually forced herself to introduce herself to both of them even if her heart was pounding in her chest from the scare.

"I'm Sarah Cassady and it's a pleasure to meet you both."

She said and meant those words really. It was an exciting opportunity even if she got surprised for a moment. She supposed she really was just as excitable as your standard civilian even if she was supposed to be used to this by now.

Loch looked up when he heard the name Clive, a bit too preoccupied with the act of getting chocolate off Bartholomew's face. "Oh well I'll be damned. Clive, it's nice to see you, didn't expect to see you until the next quarterly." The young man got up and shook the skeleton's hand. "But must say, the centuries since last we met have taken to you kindly." He looked down. "Bartholomew, say hi to Clive, you remember him right?"

The small penguin looked up and waved at Clive, his flipper holding tightly onto a half-eaten cookie. "Noot noot." He chirped before attacking his cookie once again.

"Oh where are my manners." He addressed Blair, "My name is Loch and this is my little brother Bartholomew." He patted the boy but it didn't phase the little one as he kept on eating.

"The centuries since last we met have taken to you kindly. Bartholomew, you remember him right?"

"The centuries ... Bartholomew, you remember him..."

His words were echoing in Blair's head on loop until she was addressed, ripping her out of her trance. Blinking a few times, she took a brief moment to adjust before smiling to the pair, expression quickly shifting to a grin. "Would I be wrong to assume your little brother is older than my grandfather?" Shaking Loch's hand, she added, "I'm Blair, by the way. Not too many people can pull off a fedora, but it looks good on you!"

Bending a knee, she lowered her self to Bartholomew's level and cupped her hands to her mouth before making a brief bird call, her quick, high pitched notes making a tender melody.

"Flattered Miss Blair." Loch tipped the hat slightly with his left as he shook with his right. "And unless your grandfather is the deity responsible for your beauty I would say Bartholomew is. Though I would say he's older than almost anyone you know." Meanwhile, Bartholomew flapped happily and whistled, tweeting back at her. His mouth and cheeks once again, despite Loch's most valiant efforts, once again covered in crumbs and chocolate. "Though he may not act like it."

Going a little faster than she really should've, Ana grabbed a plate swiftly filled it up and grabbed a tall glass of water, and returned to Eric's side.

"Hmm...how about we take a seat....there," she said after a bit of surveying then began to make her way to said table on the east side, at a much more reasonable speed this time.
