Juggernaut Prototype
Appearance: A large giant of an automaton, made by combining several different technological trees, namely, Electronics, Clockwork/Steamwork, Magitech and Bio-Tech. It is nine feet tall though leaning noticeable to the right due to a weight imbalance. A metallic gasmask appears welded to its head where the face should be, from behind the cracked lenses two pinpricks of light are the only evidence it has of eyes. Its body is large and bulky as if trying to mimic a buff body builder, for “arms” it has three. The right has a huge six foot, blood-stained, blade replacing everything from the elbow below, this being the cause for the weight imbalance. On its left it has two separate arms connecting to its shoulder, the first ending in a kind of chain gun while the second looks anatomically correct save for its digits ending in razor sharp claws. At its center is a Magitech reactor for its heart, the reactor draws energy from a special crystal that absorbs and converts Mana into power.
The once beautiful silver and blue plating has largely faded revealing the dull gray of augmented steel, in some areas the reddish brown of rust has encroached on the hardened metal. Some plates have begun to crack, or are missing even due to the wear of time, exposing the mechanical guts in several places, the cables of hydraulic fluid, bunches of electronic wires, complex mesh of gears of all sizes.
Skills:
Strength and Resilience- the Juggernaut has the physical prowess one would expect from a being of its size, capable of uprooting trees with ease. In addition its skin of armored plates is highly resistant to damage due to a combination of advanced metallurgy and magical strengthening enchantments.
Floodlights- Its eyes are actually powerful floodlights capable of illuminating large swathes of space in front of it, the brightness is so great to cause temporary blindness to those who look directly at them.
Acid Breath- The gasmask is actually a biochemical weapon system that spews a special neon green acid from where the filter would be. The unknown acid is highly corrosive to non-metallic substances. The storage tanks are located in his chest in lieu of lungs yet currently are in short supply, leading to this weapon being used sparingly.
Enchanted Blade- Large almost scythe-like in design, this massive appendage is the Juggernaut’s primary weapon, wickedly sharp if chipped in several places, charms have been placed on it to maintain its sharpness and increase durability.
Chain Gun- a gun attached instead of a forearm on one of its left arms, the firearm solely uses spread shot ammo, deadly up close but very wanting in accuracy from even medium range. It cannot face backwards, only full left.
Grappling Hook- hidden in the normal looking left arm, it acts exactly as you would expect and is the Juggernaut’s only speedy method of movement; it has only one hook that it fires from the center of the hand’s palm. Has similar movement range as the chain gun.
Personality/Instincts: The Juggernaut’s central processor was a brilliant marriage of the speed and efficiency of Electronics and the pinpoint accuracy and variability of Clockwork, unfortunately left in its abandoned state the processor has largely decayed from lack of use and much of its programing fell to errors and logic loops. This leads to the Juggernaut’s jerky and unsteady gait. While it has a voice module installed it too has largely degraded and while the Juggernaut will try to warn the intruder to leave it only ends up spewing strange screeches and noise, the tone, pitch and volume constantly in flux.
The machine acts on only one part of its code that remains intact is to drive away intruders from the “Workshop”, while it liberally uses lethal methods should the intruder leave the five kilometer area around the Workshop it will immediately stop pursuit. Despite this it still has a limited capacity to learn, steadily categorizing threats, as of recent it can recognize all kinds of conventional firearms and basic elemental magic as threats to be eliminated first. It has no knowledge of swordsmanship and just tries to mow down things using brute strength.
Whereabouts: It has been spotted up in the evergreen woodland area near the mountains. The area is unnervingly close to a medium-sized town of Ovd. The sightings began with the disappearance of a young man by the name of Maxwell Summers. He had gone into the forest outside the town to go camping, stumbled into the Workshop and accidentally activated the Juggernaut, and did not return, it was the search party that went after that first saw the Juggernaut, or well it was what remained of the search party that reported the monster. The dense canopy of the forest blocks a large amount of light.
About: It’s a giant over fifteen feet tall. (Exaggerated but true), It’s scared of large concentrations of people (False), It eats its victims whole (False, that’s acid), It attacks anyone indiscriminately (true), Some say it’s a giant wearing a kind of indestructible armor(False), others say it’s a kind of machine(True). Getting near it is certain death (false). It’s "Nature" herself controlling the creations of man against them (False). It seems to be protecting something deep in the forest (True). There are conflicting reports about the creature’s speed, some say it lumbers slowly others say it can zip around quickly.
If you need Info about the Workshop (Click to Show)
The Workshop- A strange and mysterious enclave hidden underneath the base of a mountain. It contains many blueprints and parts of many technological branches, The unnamed artificer long gone it remained hidden for decades where the technological marvel within remained to crumble and fade to dust. It has several rooms inside, one room dedicated for each branch of technological advancement and fifth room thrice as large as the first four, The Workshop Floor, where most of the meshing together happened, there is a small sixth room attached to the Workshop Floor containing the living quarters of the Mysterious Artificer. Many halls wind and interconnect the five rooms, though age and decay have rendered the steel walls rusted and spilling their guts.
