My grandfather received his results today. He has throat cancer, probably due to smoking.
I'm concerned, I think there's treatment but did any of your relatives, friends or even yourself ever had this problem?
If they did please tell me everything you know.
Please.

As did mine.
No family related lung cancer I know of. Sorry to hear your grandfather has lung cancer, though.
Hope it turns out alright.

Hopefully he comes out alright, man.
My aunt Cathy had like 3 different cancers, I don't know exact details.
But if they caught it early enough he has a MUCH better chance of surviving.
My advice is, research it and see what they'd have to do.

One of my good friend's father had cancer in his throat/tounge and had parts of his tounge removed. He got it from smoking, but insists that it was from some sort of radiation while having a metal pick in his mouth or something like that... He doesn't have it anymore and can talk fine

Some cancer you can't cure with radiation or Chemotherapy, so surgery is the only option I think for your Grandfather, but he will be using a pipe/hole in his throat to breath from then on, if the cancer is major that is.
Cancer sucks full stop, my pop died of Pancreatic cancer 1.5 years ago :[
