Thanks all, im done with this, i'm happy with the outcome, for my first low poly character with uv/texture mapping. i learned alot, and i will certainly take my knowledge into my next project : rigging the character properly and making an environment!

Looks great mate. The rigging looks nice in the animation, but the movement itself needs a bit of work. Bit less exaggeration in my opinion.

Also, to whoever was looking for a chance to experiment in 3d, check out Blender. It's my favorite 3d modeling program, and I've used Maya and 3DSMax. I find the results to be amazing for a freeware program, especially when coupled with a third party rendering program.

yeah there are lot's of programs, free and not for free, just pick the one that suits you best :)

for example first time i tried out maya , i found the interface confusing. second i tried 3ds max, also confusing but less then maya, then i tried blender and it was VEERY confusing to me :P

then i got back to 3ds max and did some tutorials, now its pretty easy, i think you just have to spends some time learning the interfaces.
