Quote from Chimaera**** that, I rented Viking one week, Conan the next week, and Hulk the third week.
Luckily Hulk was ok.
I liked Viking, a LOT
Simply because it combined some of my favorite things, and had other stuff I'm interested in but can't get into
Freeroaming? Check (though theres not much to do)
Dismemberment? Check
Fighting? Check
Allies? Check
VERY light RPG elements? Check (I can't get into stuff like Oblivion)
The only thing I really didn't like was the stealth elements. Luckily, there wasn't a lot of them.

Is it just me, or does every graphically realistic fps game on the Ps3 look exactly the same?

I agree. Seems like they come up with some generic storyline, tossed in Gears of War and Halo into a big bundle, put in boring terrain morphing gameplay, and hit it repeatedly with a nailbat, calling it a video game.
In Fracture, you can duck and run just like in Gears of War, except that it's baely useful and there's no cover system, so it looses its value. Also, the third person view is a lot like in Geas of War, but worst of all is that the HUD image of your default gun looks almost EXACTLY like the Lancer rifle from Gears. Even the graphical style of all the weapons is the same.
The controls and basic gameplay, however, is ripped from Halo completely. Hold X as action and to reload, A is jump, Y switches weapons, B is melee (A useless, loose-animated and pointless feature in Fracture), Right Trigger fires, and left trigger throws grenades. The only difference is the fact that you have multiple grenade types. (Oh, and one of the grenades is called a "Spike Grenade". Remind you of a particularly Brutish weapon from another game?)
Frankly, Fracture is a boring pile of trash, and there doesn't seem to be much of areason to fight the main villain, he's just THERE.

I don't think the control scheme matters much, if it works well why complain that is was from another game? Seems like a weak argument to me. One of the things that I actually laughed about was the turret part of the demo, when you have to raise some terrain to cover a guy from a turret. Then once you raise it, the turrets bullets start to automatically lower the ground. It was ridiculous.

But you would wanna look at reviews if you are gonna spend $60.
You still have to pay in order to rent a game. It's not a library.

Well, I heard it was worth a rent.
From various sites.

But that's just the thing: it DOESN'T work well for the game.
