Do you think that time travel exists, or already exists?

If it did exist I'm sure someone would abuse it and come back to our time by now. Or maybe they're too smart too.

Just as a matter of discussion, there are three types of ways time travel could effect the future.

Let's say you wanted to go back in time to kill one of your enemies as a baby. There are three ways it could effect the present:

1. You killing (Or attempting to kill) the baby creates your present situation in which he is your enemy. This type is where what you change in the past is what ultimately caused your present.

2. You killing (Or attempting to kill) the baby changes your present, in which you go back and all is well in the parallel universe where your enemy doesn't exist.

3. You killing (Or attempting to kill) the baby changes your present so that the enemy no longer exists, meaning you had no reason to go back and kill him, creating a paradox.

+ Discussion.

The only way this could work is that there is a 5th dimension where the alternate reality you created goes, leaving your reality unchanged. if not then time travel would create a time paradox and the universe would collapse in on itself

some say that all that is bullshit cause you would just create an alternate timeline, and the timeline you came from would stay the same.

Not really. That would only happen if you do it again in the future.

Point three is correct, as it is impossible to change the future.

And I believe timetravel already exists, but on a very minimum level with astronauts..?

I think if there was a time travel. I would have already visited myself. Because I've been thinking a lot on this subject for like a year now. I even memorized a date for me to go back. And I'm only 15, so the if I haven't visited myself is because I died. And not counting accidents, I have at least 80 years ahead of me yet.

It would be neat tough. Other chances is that the world we know is already destroyed.

So if you think about travelling in time and you believe it's real you can predict that you haven't visited yourself for the following reasons:

1.You died
2.Everyone died
3.Noone cares about this age

And of course if you travel behind you could have the time machine earlier, making the discovery sooner and then making our future ourselves trip useless, that creating a paradox.

I <3 this thread

Unless they do a limit age travel..

Maybe the military and governments seized it and it was a total bummer for everyone else.

I had that too, but consider this:

In the future where they have time travel, which I think might be in 20 years you'll be 30 or 40. Adult. Knowing that when you go back, you might change the present. With this knowledge in mind, going back in time would NEVER be something to think about, especially not when it involves you as a kid.
You don't wanna go and kill yourself, do you?

Probably time travel would only be allowed before mankind existed, or to the future. Even though that would be selfish.

You mean I can be watching myself right now and I don't know it?
Well that's creepy...

But there might be rules. Like limit age and not interfering rules.
I might have talked to myself and didn't know it...
FRUSTRATING !
