I just finished watching the Presidential debate, and i have to say that i could not be more disgusted with the way they played out. McCain wouldn't even look at Obama, let alone address that he was even there. While Obama pointed out where he agreed with McCain, McCain was bitter, harsh, and gave Obama no credit even when they agreed. What made me even more disgusted was the way the media handled it. I thought it was a demonstration of McCain's inflexibility and his overall bitterness and lack of knowledge on almost every issue discussed, while the media somehow spun that around as demonstrating his "authority". Even MSNBC was completely misinterpreting closed mindedness as dominance. I know this sounds very partisan and left wing, but it's a trend i've seen in the media and politics in general of always just discussing the personality traits of different people (even misinterpreting them) instead of discussing any of the facts. There are people voting for Palin who say, in a supposedly intellectual country, that they are doing so "because she's a mom, and she knows what it's like to be a mom" and people voting for Obama because he's black. Am I the only one who watches people lie regularly and exploit easy buzzwords without discussing any issues, and are afraid because the country may actually believe them and not see through their charades?

I believe that Obama was friendly and I laughed when Mccain showed his ignorance by saying, " Senetar Obama is wrong about how Russia acted against Georgia" when Obama said before," I agree with John about that statement..". I believe that MCcain is a racist and cold bastard...

Him saying he wasn't going to be there was just to make him look better when he "managed to show up"
I think McCain is a fag who needs to stop ****ing attacking Obama's ads, and disrespecting him, I haven't seen one Obama ad that disrespects McCain.

I've recorded the debate cuz i live in europe and ive watched the first half hour (its about the wars in iraq and afghanistan now) and it looks like McCain has only one thing to say which doesn't even make good sense.

Pretty pathetic.

I watched the most of it and I thought they both did great. Both of them had good, valid, points. McCain was a little more hostile than I'd say Obama was for sure, but saying he "wouldn't...address that he was even there" is a huge exaggeration. It was a close debate, I didn't see any real winner. Both of them were expertly prepared and showed a good deal of knowledge about the issues.
