Alright, since the other threads, including mine just filled up with spam and nobody was actually commenting on anybodys creations, I'm making an official Fraxy thread. All the other Fraxy threads in main will be trashcanned.

Rules

-This thread works like a showoff section, it is not a place to ask general questions about where to download Fraxy or how to use the editor, you are here to SHOW OFF finished Fraxy creations, and REVIEW other peoples bosses. Off topic posts will simply be deleted.

-If you want to show off your creation, make sure to include a picture of your boss, and a download link. You can also include descriptions and back stories and all that fun stuff if you wish.

-Don't just post something dumb you made in 2 minutes. Anyone can make a spinning disk of giant lasers that kills you instantly, this thread is for bosses that you actually put some time into designing. I'll be the judge of which bosses are worth showing in the thread and which ones are just a waste of a post, although I trust you to have the common sense to decide if the flying word "fuck" that you hilariously named the NIGGERMOBILE!11 deserves to be posted or not.

-You are not funny if you actually make a flying word "fuck" call it the niggermobile and post it just because I specifically said not to. It's predictable and lame and nobody will love you for it.

Now to answer some questions I know somebody is going to ask:

TO DOWNLOAD FRAXY CLICK HERE

Click on the download link that reads "fraxy_20071225e.zip (1.34MB) (English only)"

NOT the link that reads "fraxy_eng_20071105.zip (25.1KB)"

TO PLAY CUSTOM BOSSES

Simply drag the .fed file to the "enemy" folder in Fraxy. It's really that simple.

Now I'll start the thread off with reposts of my 3 finished bosses so far:

The Shplazz
Image

The Shplazz is a sleek, sexy gunship and formidable opponent. What it lacks in massive, capital ship size, it makes up for in agility and plenty of firepower. The two large cannons on either side of the ship rotate to hit attackers, and can also detatch to form two smaller ships if the Shplazz is destroyed. The main weapon however is the "Ball of Fury" (which unfortunately you can't see in my screenshot), a large rotating disk of energy ball cannons which fire off in sequence, creating large spirals of deadly deadliness.

I've played against the Shplazz countless times to make sure it is a balanced and fun fight. I went way overboard with the guns at first, so I kept trying to tone it down just enough to avoid it being frustrating, but to still keep it a frantic fight. I also used the "Cancer Core", I find it gives the most aggressive AI.

The Phallic Avenger
Image

Have you ever had that dream where you're battling a spaceship shaped like a gigantic penis? Well now you can experience the excitement of such an event for yourself. Stay away from the flailing tip as it often ejaculates large laser beams. And be careful when you destroy the two round gun pods, because like real testicles, they are filled with a volatile substance that will explode and damage everything in a 10 mile radius.

The Phallic Avenger is my immature "somebody had to do it eventually" creation. For what it's worth though, I actually put some time into it to make sure the design was still cool looking (how can a giant dick shaped spaceship NOT be cool looking?) and that it was a balanced fight. It's much easier to fight than the Shplazz, but at later difficulties it still takes some skill to destroy.

I put both of these ships in one zip file, since they were released at the same time in my old thread. Download them both here:

The BlobLobber
Image

The BlobLobber is the modified delivery ship of a hapless space courier. Tired of being robbed by roving gangs of space pirates he installed super powerful afterburners on the ships engines, and a specialized weapons system that lobs hundreds of lethal blobs of plasma all around the ship. When space pirates or perhaps gangs of space high school dropouts arrive to harass him, they get a nasty surprise as their would-be target accelerates away, leaving a deadly cloud of blobs in it's wake.

Instead of just throwing random weapons all over the place I designed this ship with a specific attack strategy in mind. Like the backstory suggests, you will be bombarded with slow moving plasma rings throughout the fight. It's easy to kill at first, but once you start battling it at higher difficulties the screen will quickly fill up with projectiles making it hard to get anywhere near the boss. Also be warned, the two armour plates at the front are very durable and conceal a large laser cannon, you're better off weaving around the blobs to attack it from the rear.

My first boss is mainly a base full of shit.
I showed setmin and he thought it was hard.
He spins around two things and you have to destroy them while shit is shooting at you.
My first boss is hard awesomeness k.

looks like ya just took all the parts and tossed 'em on the screen...

The Eradicator
Image
The eradicator was originally designed to be an airship carrier, for taking small fighter vessels from place to place. overtime, more and more people began attacking it, trying to get a hold of military class airships. so the pilot, added boosters, and a powerful gravity well, anyone who gets too close will either be sliced in half in an escape attempt, or rammed to bits. The most dangerous thing about this ship is the four smaller ships, that shoot lasers intersecting where your ship is. you'll want to get rid of them first. the big ships main weapon is it's ability to almost never fail in ramming you.

Hammerhead Battleship
Designed for the front lines of intergalactic battle, the Hammerhead class battleship blasts, melts, cuts, and rams the enemy into submission. It has been very successful in recent campaigns, and has even been used to clear paths for supplies or retreat. Although usually a support ship, a well equipped Hammerhead can hold its own in battle against several foes by spinning its mounted turret. Failing that, a pilot may try simply crashing into the enemy ships. The reinforced prow sports three laser blades and can easily tear through any ship's hull.

Image

Tip: If you're playing free mode and you selected to verse this ship, make sure to be on your toes when it spawns. It's killed me many times while I went to grab an upgrade after killing its predecessor.

Personally, I liked the way it turned out. It blows up in cool little sections and is fairly strong. Plus, it's fun to watch it come out of nowhere an run me over.

i would've taken a screenie in game, but you can't get near this thing...

The Swordsman
Image
The Swordsman is designed for absolute obliteration of infantry. with two heavily armored, blade-ended, spinning arms, it's impossible to stay alive in close quarters. it has three ships that spawn form it, two fighter ships, and one bit ship. the fighter ships are equipped with bullets, and two spinnign swords, while the bit, is equipped with a single balde, and it will try to ram you.

Edit:
lol i fogot to put a download *f-f-f-f-f-face palm*

Try Scenario: Hammerhead Squad

You're under attack by a fully equipped Hammerhead Attack Squadron! Take 'em out!

My first 'TRY' Scenario. Extract these files into the 'try' folder. Make sure to leave the ships in their 'hammerheadsquad' folder.

Try it out, post your times :)

Tips/Tricks:
-The Laser Scouts require massive amounts of fuel to operate, so aim for the tank on their back to quickly destroy them.
-When the Hammerhead Battleship first spawns, move quickly or it'll run right through you.
-Choose your upgrades from the Cruisers carefully, they'll be all you've got to take down the Battleship. I suggest Regen.
-The fighters protecting the battleship in the last stage respawn indefinitely, so don't waste time fighting them.

My reviews of the so far posted enemies

Pirate~ The shplazz is extremely hard, the 2 arms that he has poses a huge threat to you when you are fighting him, and the thing on the back that fires off those one hit like mine things is GAY

The giant penis was surprisingly hard just because it took so much to kill it.

The Bloblobber was probably the easiest, because if you could just get on the side with the 3rd power upgrade you could easily blow apart its main weapon, the blobb thing.

Apples~ I couldn't get yours to download right

Diggorybio~ OMFG This boss is gay. First off it is way to ****ing fast, you can just be cruising along and BAM you get rammed and die. The 4 detachable ships are things that do the most damage besides the ramming, if you get hit by all 4 and the ships main lasers all at the same time its like instant death. However I found that once you killed the 4 detachable ships and kept your distance you could win.

Ceral Man~ I'm to lazy to try them all out and comment on them

Darkcampainger~ The thing that I found that was killing me the most was the little gun on the core, everything else wasn't to bad because as long as you got behind it and killed the 3 guns that shot out the heat seaking missles, then nothing could really kill you, except for that ****ing gun on the core!!!! ;klasjdf

This boss isn't really that good. I just made it to test this idea i had. Every part of the ship is invincible except the 3 cores. One core is also guarded by a set of invincible plates. In order to destroy this core you must destroy the other core to destroy the plates blocking it. When you destroy the second core it reveals the third core. It actually worked out pretty well.

Ceral Mans bosses

Scronimus~ Not really hard, it's just that he is scary as hell. In the begining he has all of those lasers and your thinking OMFG, and his movements are kind of random do so he is pretty hard to predict.

Pyramid~ Was pretty easy, it was once again just kind of scary to have that big ****ing thing with lasers sticking out every which way charge at you at a pretty fast pace.

The Ender~ Hardest one so far, it is kind of weird because as soon as it spawns it immediatly retreats and then out of no where like 4 huge ****ing lasers come really close to you, also the shields around it hard annoying because you have to shoot at them forever. Once you get past the shields and the lasers it isn't to bad.

LAZERZ~ Retartedly easy, and retartedly annoying. This boss is the biggest waste of time. The lasers are really easy to kill and the core is WAY WAY WAY WAY to strong. You have to sit there for like 3 minutes just shooting the ****ing core.

GARAHHAH~Pretty easy once you get on its side, I like the 2 explotions when it dies so that you can't boost, but if you wanted that to do something then you need your ship to have more gun power to start out with.

OMFG I just tried the Hammerhead Squadron thingy and holy shit. It is so rediculously hard, but I finally beat it after multiple deaths my final time was 210.8 Seconds and my final score was 271200

Ill just put mine all in this post and update as I feel like it.

Demonic

Image

Made to lead large scale raids this is the original Demonic battleship, most seen nowadays are converts of this design.

My first and very simple, its a big triangle thingy that shoots at you with too many lasers, Its only good point is that it can create an unbroken arc of shots if its spining while shooting with certain weapons.

Main core has 100000 Duribility and to hold the amount of lasers it has generaly weak armor. most of the armor is also interconnected so falls away if certain joints/other areas are broken. Standing in front of this thing = death.

Back has very little defence, this was ment to be a ship that is backed up by smaller fighters near its weak spots. Multiple cores means that killing one can severly damage the ship or even snap it in two.

I had fun with Cereal Man's Laser one. Pirate's Shplazz and Phallus Avenger were great. Hammerhead by darkcampainger was pretty cool. The rotating cannon was my favorite part.

Anyway:

Flacon

The Falcon airship is a fast fighter type, it will undoubtedly make an attempt to ram you first thing. If you somehow manage to escape it's ram you'll probably end up meeting it's homing lasers. The front is equipped with heavy laser cannons, trapping you within them before it makes an attempt to ram you. It is designed to quickly take out it's opponent, best in dog fights.

Clairavoyance
A heavier, slower ship. It still packs one hell of a punch. It begins it's attack from a distance, homing lasers. Once you're close enough to see it, it sprays several small bullets along with a burner on the tentacles. This one is better for taking out slower airships.

Levidicous
A mix of both heavy and quick. The Levidicous is the largest of the bundle, equipped with many homing lasers, bullets and vulcans. The laser in the middle doesn't do much as make the opposing forces scatter. It's well protected with two drones always guarding it. The drones have little armor but are equipped with four blades and four plasma rings. It also possesses four boosters on each blade arm for extra spin. Drone boosters are more effective when disconnected from Levidicous.

Scorpioxxx's was a blast. I played it seceral times.

New one.

Hellfire(how unoriginal lol)
Unlike my others, Hellfire is hard on defense, very weak on offense. The stability of the structure is nearly rock-solid, nearly impossible to penetrate. It uses it's spinning speed to ward off anyone who ties to infiltrate it to the center. The flamethrowers on tips of the floating orbs is your boundary. If you're past them, you're pretty dead. The bullets and orbs are easy to avoid, you'll usually die from them if you're not paying attention.

Alright, some reviews for the ships posted so far. I'll get around to reviewing all of them, I'm just lazy right now.

Hammerhead Battleship
- I really liked the design, it's a cool looking boss. The fight was a bit bland though, if anything the ship is underpowered, even at higher difficulties it didn't pose too much of a threat. Perhaps add just a couple more turreted weapons, since after the main turret was destroyed, barely anything even got near you, except an occasional spray of vulcan bullets.

Eradicator - Decent boss, but you relied way too much on laser beams. I know it's tempting to throw them everywhere because they look the coolest by far, but when you have lasers criss crossing everywhere and very few other weapons, it becomes a boring fight.

Demonic - Actually turned out to be a really fun, intense fight. You went overboard on the weapons, that's for sure, but it actually didn't cross the line into plain frustrating (at earlier difficulties at least). The ship broke apart easily, and the multiple cores meant it separated into various mini ships, which is always cool. My biggest complaint is the ridiculous amount of durability on the core, I hate when people do that because you end up destroying everything else, and then just shooting at the core for ages waiting for it to die when the fight is essentially already over.

I'll get around to reviewing all the rest, including Cerealmans lot, later. In the mean time, behold my latest creation:

The Corsair

Image

The Corsair is a light corvette, popular among bounty hunters, space pirates, and other space-shady-characters. Loved for it's simple, rugged, durable, time tested design.

This particular Corsair has been outfitted with a multitude of heavy weapons, including the large main beam cannon, and the two small turreted beam cannons on the side pods. A much loved characteristic of the Corsair is how modular the design is, allowing sections of the ship to be converted into independently functioning vessels. Even the deck mounted turrets of this ship are able to fly off and attack you, functioning as small, unmanned drone ships. Always be careful when fighting this beast, even when you think the battle is over, a smaller auxiliary ship is bound to emerge from the wreckage and make a last stand.

This was my first attempt at making a larger sort of "capital ship". It took a lot more planning out ahead of time, I couldn't just go nuts and throw random parts everywhere, especially since I was designing it with modularity in mind, I had to make sure each separate core would be able to function as it's own ship.

Enjoy, and please to be leaving a nice review.
