Press any key (OR Type thecakeisalie) and: apparently somebody else hacked (?) the terminal, leaving a message saying that the hardware is 20 years old among other things. (So what is this, 2002?) Anyway, you can also see a video feed in your screen with something peculiar in it. Pressing return (or any other key) switches your video feed/message to a to a spreadsheet (with a bill?) and vice versa.

What I can't imagine is what your face must've looked like being scared at the test which was supposed to be funny. The 60 char code was fake. The flashing cake was just part of their running joke. Did you actually think that there was a real aperture science and a guy was monitering your test?
