Like a polar bear has white fur, and it is proven that thousands of years ago, that the polar bear used to have brown fur.

Well it's not necessarily the age group but definately the mass stupidity T_T. I'm only 11 but I know about evolution and stuff. This is just unreasonable to believe in a man in the sky who just said "hey, kinda bored..." so he created man-kind.... and also @treeoflife... we didn't evolve from monkeys we just have a common ancestor with them. Otherwise we most likely wouldn't have as much diversity of monkeys as we do.

well cells are, to put it very basically, lipid membranes with little mitochondria (which accomplish respiration, giving the cell energy) and other organelles inside. so scientists think that the first cell resulted from lipids (which are naturally occurring organic molecules) stringing together due to the beat of the ocean's waves and forming little lipid membrane bubbles. they've done tests where they put lipids in a container of water and sort of wave the water back and forth and these "bubbles" tended to form.

so then the theory is that mitochondria formed the same way, just membranes being formed, and a bunch of proteins and things that just naturally made their ways into the membranes started carrying out the krebs cycle and stuff, producing energy. so mitochondria were little separate organisms that produced energy so the mitochondrion could exist longer.

so then, the story goes, DNA formed (because the molecules that make up DNA have natural predilections for each other) and entered the mitochondria so they could reproduce, i guess. then the mitochondria got inside these lipid membranes and they were better sheltered so they were more successful so that kept up and eventually you have very simple cells.

that's how i remember it being explained to me at least, i'm probably wrong on several points but it's sort of how it is said to have happened.

What I have to say about evolution, I DON'T think we came from primates and monkeys and shit. We may have the same DNA and whatnot and stuff like that, but that doesn't mean we evolved from them. Just because we have things like them means that we're somehow related to them? I doubt it.
