Firefox has just crossed the 500 million download mark. One of the main reasons Firefox was so great is because it was small, and no viruses or spyware was compatible with the browser. But its popularity has exploded. It's no longer unknown, which begs the question: Is it still as safe?

Sure, why the hell not.

What with all the security addons.

i think its funny how youre saying that it isnt safe because its popular, but we should get opera. by doing this, youre making opera popular and not as safe.
you lose.

That's the internet.

Once something goes down, there's always something new to take its place. If youtube starts charging money for membership, there will be something new and free.

Opera > Firefox > IE.

I've never got a virus in my life when I used Firefox.

I don't see why anyone would still want to use IE.

with the way firefox is, there will probably always be some type of addon, or update, to fend off those spyware bullshit

unlike IE

Same. But I know loads of people who use it and don't complain.

By the way, isn't there an Internet viewer called 'Safari'?
