I'd be fairly safe amongst all these mountains and hills, at least from the fallout. Doomdooer, the military bases would be targets.

There are plenty of subsistence farmers around here and since my father has a few weapons around the house and I have a good hunting dawg at my friend's house, both of our families could team up and take out one or many of the farmers because they are useless anyway. Then, if the nearby grocery stores aren't already picked clean, we'd head over that-a-way and raid the places for essentials we can't grow, like spices, water, high-strength pain relievers...

But since Chattanooga is rather large and just 30 miles away, I'm sure we'd be fucked from the get-go. Or days/weeks later we'd be falling apart at the joints.
