Good... bad?
I think steam is a load of balls... it dosent save favorite servers or game controlls... meaning i have to re-set them EVERY time.
Also, i had to buy my OWN copy of a few games cause i couldent re-install it on my pc.

I actually find Steam really helpful when It comes to organizing games, and updating them and such.
As for your problems, I havn't experienced any of them yet, so Steam is still great to me.

I've had no problems with it.
It eats up my RAM like hell, but that's to be expected.

I wouldn't mind that if i had 512 mb RAM, but it lags like hell on my shitty 256 MB.
It deletes my favourites from time to time, but i have only one on there, and i can easily remember their website to get their IP address.
Why isn't there a "It's not good, but not bad" option?

Steam is good, for people with optimal computers.
They support some pretty neat games, wich i love playing.

If you got some money, Steam can be great.
If you do not, don't even be arsed of downloading it.

anyone that knows me knows how much steam ****ed me up... or atleast my computer.
Twice, not once, but twice, after uninstalling steam and sierra utilities, my whole hard drive got completely erased. I hate Valve for makin steam their foundation for games.

Its basically a utility Valve use to sell there games on, and its also a client program for you that organizes your games and such. I'll put some screenshots on, 2 secs.
