18 fps: http://www.swfme.com/view/1281132

hmm, by far i think that was one of my favorites from you, keep it up like that and you animating will be really good, anyway, that's med beginner possibly, but work more on smoothing your sitcks, and making it smoother, but it was cool

First succesful walking cycle. Swfup slowed it down, etc.

Non-biased critiscism, go.

Imma be picky, kay?

1) After the first step his arm goes forward, then back, then forward agian, which is a quite annoying little twitch.

2) Hes too bouncy, in my opinion. He doesnt need any bounce as walking doesnt take that much effort.

3) What smoothness did you use? If you're going for that style, Id suggest increasing the smoothness of the lines. Wait, I dont think you can with line, oh well.

4) His head doesnt go down at the same time as his body, I know what you were trying to achieve but it really isnt needed for a walk cycle.

5) GTFO the beginners section, you should be fine posting your animations in the actual flash section now, but as long as you really spend some time on them.

ehh okay this sucks because it's my first attempt at a zoom like effect, and also I did it in English class and finished it in Western civilzation.. and i had to keep closing it 'cause the teachers would walk by... but enough for excuses (this is my second flash test)

@ FantaSTICK

:D
the basics are fine.
however, I would advise only using one brush stroke for each limb, it looked pretty ugly when it zoomed in for that reason alone.

Also, use smaller droplets of blood and make them a darker colour. I know it wont look right to start with, and you wont like using a darker red, but trust me, it looks SO MUCH BETTER.

As I said, the kick had good power, and even the jump was fairly satisfactory.

thanks for the advice, yea i knew the limbs were terrible, i was just rushing it in class and too lazy to go back and fix it.

Edit: ive been meaning to ask , and i might as well ask now, How do add a flash animation as your avatar?

@ Draco-Work more on smoothness and i know it's hard to do with line, but just try, but yeah, it was a bit bobbly, just work on a standard walk, go to the mall or tell a sibling to walk around a lot, lol

I didn't even know it was easier with brush. Ah, what the ****, line's better.

I'll try to fix it up again.

Appreciated much, but I fixed a few things.

^ Fixed version

1) After the first step his arm goes forward, then back, then forward agian, which is a quite annoying little twitch.
I know what you mean, I'll try to work on that.

2) Hes too bouncy, in my opinion. He doesnt need any bounce as walking doesnt take that much effort.
Mmkay.

3) What smoothness did you use? If you're going for that style, Id suggest increasing the smoothness of the lines. Wait, I dont think you can with line, oh well.
Yeah, there's smoothing for line, but I've never seen it do any difference.
Oh hold on, it doesn't.

4) His head doesnt go down at the same time as his body, I know what you were trying to achieve but it really isnt needed for a walk cycle.
Check the fix'd version, might be slightly better.

5) GTFO the beginners section, you should be fine posting your animations in the actual flash section now, but as long as you really spend some time on them.
Lol, it's like the second time I post an animation here and I'm already told to leave the beginner's section.

i prefered that newer version, the bounce looked more in place, I dont know why but it just did.
Plus, did you add more frames inbetween?
Because it looked a lot smoother too.
If you didnt, then Im just stupid.

Same amount of frames, same fps, etc.

The only things changed were the knees' positioning and the arms' reactions.
