hello hi I am waffles yes lets shake hands

anyway I'm new to flash and I'm trying my hand at it and making a bunch of small very short things so I can try and get a hand of the tools before I go on to anything more elaborate

here is one

thanks for time

1.) What is he doing at the very beginning? Is that feet? Is it hands? I can't tell. Emphasize your movements more.

2.) Wobbly. Now, a lot of people think wobbly is bad but actually, it isn't. Try to check some of 5yntax's(Syntax's) works and he applies wobbliness greatly.

3.) Lack of force, easing, and anticipation. Everything is so constant. Add tempo and don't be afraid to space out things.

4.) Resizing(Legs). I understand the upper portion of his body getting bigger/taller but I'm not so sure about his legs.

Personal note: Keep it up man! Love on how you're doing some casual(Somewhat) movements instead of fast paced action. You'll be able to learn faster this way. Cheers!

1.) Stiff as hell. Make all joints move no matter how small it is. It will make a big difference in the overall output.

2.) Absolutely no easing(Subject to change as I do like your style). I don't know about this part. One part of my brain says it looks good but the other says it's horrible. Generally, you lack easing and that you should really work on anticipation too. Style wise, it's alright.

3.) Reactions? Does someone just stand without defending/attacking back? Even when he was being choked, he could have just grabbed the other person's hands to at least pull them away.

4.) Work on your overall proportions. I mean, that body sure is long. Nothing's wrong with different body lengths, after all, we are artists and we are free to exaggerate but if you lengthen one thing, you must balance the whole thing by shortening another.

Personal Note: I'm 50-50 with your style. It's solid yet weak. It lacks easing but looks fun. I'd say keep experimenting with it and we'll see.

1.) Resizing. From the moment he flipped, his whole body grew shorter, then a little bit longer but not back to its original size.

2.) Emphasize the anticipation. When he's going to flip, make his back bend more until it's almost off balance then lift him up rather than letting it stay the same angle for a long time.

3.) Jittery & sudden movement of the arms when he's landing.

4.) Sticks too long on the ground considering he's tilting to the right(He looks like he just barely made it. Make him move forward to balance himself after he lands than make him stay in that position then move. You try holding that position after a backflip and you'll have a hard time.

Personal note: Keep it up. Casual movements are always great to practice with.

Cheers, man. At the start I wanted to try a little perspective thing so it's just him lying down and then being angled towards standing.

I've always used Pivot before so I prefer to do actual good lookin' movements rather than cheap fast compensation animation.

This was mostly just to get a hang of the brush tool. But I'll try to experiment with some things. As for stuff like spacing and easing, well, I was damn good at that in Pivot and if I decided to apply it in Flash I'd probably do well.

That's hella smooth. But you need to add more force, and there was some resizing, try to use a guide or some kind of grid and follow it.
Other than that, that's great for a first.

Here's one of my first animations. I have a lot of ideas for some big animations that I want to work on, but I'm waiting until I get my tablet so I'll be able to make them faster. By the way, is anybody using a tablet to draw stick figure animations here in Flash? How is it working out for you?
